Hi, everybody…..I’m lazy daisy and it pretty much describes my attempts at dieting and weight control. I do pretty well at the beginning, then get lazy or slack and eventually start rationalizing, “I’ve already blown it for today, so might as well wait till Monday to start back up again.”
Unfortunately, Monday never comes. So I’ve been stuck in this time warp for a long time.
I’m a registered nurse so I know how to diet. I really need accountability and encouragement. I have also decided to join our local Weight Watcher’s group as I need reinforcement and weekly accountability at the scales. Their ads read that “people who join on the average lose 3 times more weight than people who diet alone.
I need to lose over 100 pounds so people I’m desparate. Help!
I started out Jan 1 and have done well the last 3 days. I have cut back on my portions and started walking daily. WW meets on Thursday so haven’t officially started their program.
So hang in there with me…..I’m not opposed to some butt kickin if that’s what’s needed.
Thanks in advance!

You’re cutting back on portions and walking–awesome! Not only is that a first step, it’s THE step, I think. Those two things combined will get you to your goal.

The accountablity at the WW scales does help, I have been to WW twice and lost weight both times. Then quit because I couldn’t afford it anymore then got pregnant (both times) so the weight and more went back on. You have made a great start! Cutting back on portions and daily exercise thats exactly what I need to work on too.
Nice to meet you and good luck!

I second the above 2 comments. I too need to eat less and move more. I think it is the key to losing weight for good. I am also going to be rejoining WW hopefully this week.
