Today I have done better at drinking water, I have written down everything I have eaten, I have stayed within my Points allowance and my intention is to go work out at 9:00. This was on the suggestion of our lovely leader, Leanne. She told me that she heard that you burn more fat if you eat either 3 hours pre or 3 hours post meals. I meant to eat at 6:00, but it wasn’t quite done, but the latest I can go to the Y and still get my workout in is 9, so that is when I am going.
My husband made this awesome Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo by Betty Crocker Complete. It was only 5 points per serving, so for a meal type food, that is pretty reasonable. I had 10 points left, so I had 2 servings. It was really good.
I have to hurry up and do something for one of my children and then I hope to be off to the gym. See ya, all!
***Update***
I had to dye my daughter’s hair because she has a job interview tomorrow and she had a previous hairdye job gone bad (resulting in PINK hair). I didn’t get done in time to make it to the gym, so instead I went down to our play room and did Dance Dance Revolution for 30 minutes with two of my kids and my granddaughter. I worked up a sweat and was breathing heavy, so that must mean I was getting something out of it. If you don’t know what it is, run your cursor over it up there and click on it and it will take you to a page explaining what it is. I have known people who have lost as much as 50lbs. just doing DDR. You can get it for Playstation, Xbox and I think other game consoles, too.

8:50 pm
wow you have had a great day. I hope you enjoy your time at the gym tonight.
9:34 pm
Chicken Fettucine Alfredo for 5 points?! I’m sooooo printing this recipe!!!!!
And I never knew about the three hour thing. Do you know how that works?
9:48 pm
Lindsey, It is a Betty Crocker Complete Meal kit. It comes pre-packaged and you mix it all together and the only thing you have to add is water. Super easy. The thing that took the longest was the actual cook time (25 min). If you run your cursor over Betty Crocker up in my post, there is a link to their website and it shows what other complete meals that they have.
9:55 pm
Ahhhh, I see now! Then I’ll be looking for it tomorrow at the grocery store, LOL!
10:38 pm
my daughters friend has ddr and the mom uses it more than the kids! definitely sounds fun… good for you to make accomodations but stick to the plan!
10:57 pm
I want to thank you for your great comments, Shelli.
That dance revolution sounds great
You had a perfect day, and how sweet of your husband to cook a WW meal for you.

Hey, DDR might be more effective than going to the gym! It certainly is aerobic… though in my case it’s just humiliating
2:40 am
That DDR looks like a fun way to get some exercise in. Teagan (2 years old) would probably love it too! Either that or she would see me doing it and just shake her head and say “NO” LOL! She actually does this when I dance to the music stations on the TV - does being a mum automatically mae you a bad dancer or something I wonder?
4:33 am
DDR is the best excercise and the most humilating thing in the world. I am soooooooooo bad at it. Twister has a version of it that you can do with a dvd player for those of you who don’t have a video game system (me). It’s called Twister Moves and if I new how to link to it on Amazon, I would. Don’t be alarmed by the fact that it features Jesse McCartney. It’s more DDR then twister and hella hard for the non dancers out there.
8:19 am
Shelli you did great! I think it’s awesome that you found time to exercise even though you couldn’t make it to the gym. Good for you!!!
8:40 am
Good for you for being ingenious and getting in a workout. I tried that DDR with my sisters. It is quite a workout, but I found that I’m not too coordinated! I think its great that not only did you work out, but you got to spend time with your family too.
12:56 pm
One thing about points, I found I liked to save up for a once a week (within reason) splurge. You’ll find what works for you. You are doing great, Shelli!
