Bought Yoga pants yesterday

The Ross at the shopping center near our home is closing down so while out on my walk with the baby, I stopped by and found a pair of capri style sport pants that I can wear to my yoga class beginning Monday. However, they’re slightly too small for me and the cute style didn’t come any bigger. I’m just going to have to be frumpy until I can get another 5 or 10 pounds off.

I did walk, though. That shopping center is almost a mile and a half away and I walked an extra 1/2 mile or so out of the way to make it a big loop. The grocery store is there too, so when I don’t need a whole lot, I walk there and back. I also walk to the weekly farmer’s market a mile and a half away. So I’m glad the weather in Northern California is finally drying out!

However, as good as my exercise is, my portions still need working on. I find that my lunches and dinners are still slightly too large. But water intake is still good. It’s 7:20 AM and I’ve already had a glass and a half of water while I wait for my coffee!

Sometimes a little motivation comes from a cute outfit. This sounds like a great plan! Keep it up :)

I agree! Most of my motivation comes from wanting to get into my “cute” clothes again! I leave my favorite outfit out, hanging on the wall, to remind myself of that goal every time I look at it! (Kinda like that commercial where she’s wanting to get into her bikini?)

I have a whole closet full of pre-preggo cute clothes just waiting to be worn again. I also have a picture of me and DH just before marriage where I’m looking good and that’s an encouragement.

I love those kind of pants. Then when you are working out, you don’t have to worry about your shorts coming open and everyone seeing your bum that is hopefully covered by undies!

I have a closet full of clothes motivating me. One day I’ll be able to wear them again.

You could try having a bigger breakfast and see if that helps w. the portions at dinner and lunch.

That is great that all those places are close enough to walk too.

That’s a great motivation. Smaller pants to wear to work out in. So it’s a double bonus…excecise with payoff

There’s nothing like clothes you REALLY want to get into to motivate! I got a leather jacket off Ebay today and it’s about a half size too small–all the more reason to drop another 10 pounds. Oh, sure, there’s that avoiding the heart attack thig, but the jacket–that’s tangible!
