I don’t wanna

Do this. I really don’t. Mainly, I’m here trying to get motivated to do what I wish I could do if I wiggled my nose. People amaze me with 40 pounds lost, 20 lost, 65 lost…I can’t get off my duff to lose 12. It’s like not real happy, but OK enough is just not motivation enough to get my arse moving and my mouth closed. I’m trying to gear up for Sunday. Or maybe Monday. Lame, I know. I’ve just done this so many times, and then just thrown it all out the window, that I’m not sure what my goals are now. I just don’t like where I am. So there. It’s all out. Thanks for the rant.

:duh: Hey girlfriend…try the first five pounds and go from there. I went to my first ww meeting tonight and if there had been a prize for the fattest person there I would have won!

One day at time my friend….I’m on a long journey so come on along!

Just try for one day. Then when you get that, try to get five in a row. And do something like put a star on piece of pper for every day followed. It will build.

You have to plan how you are going to do it. Plan a day, menu within a reasonable calorie range. Dont’ starve yourself. I found Weight Watchers very helpful. You might want to try going to a meeting. It si VERY helpful.

Try just taking baby steps… park the car further away from the building, drink a glass more water than you would normally, have less biscuit, dance while you wait for the kettle/coffe maker, dance in the ad breaks on TV, take the stairs not the elevator etc etc…
Everything that you do that is healthier than what you normally do will help you!
Most of all don’t think of it as a “diet” – when we think diet we think “oh I can’t have that or this” when really you can have a little of what you want even if it is a choc cake….as long as its just a little…:winking:

It’s ok to rant and want to NOT do this. It’s just the mini-goals–not the big goal–that matter. Try to set them small and attainable–in other words, look for the trees and not the forest. Then it doesn’t seem so much.

We are all here for you!

Allison, it’s okay, just hang with us awhile. We will motivate you. My WW leader always says that he wishes he had fairy dust that he could sprinkle on us and we would be thin. ME TOO!

Ok, Missy! You not only CAN do this, you WILL do this. It’s was your little bloggity blog post that got me over here so get up off your arse and close your mouth.
(don’t tell anyone, but I’m sipping a Route 44 Cherry Coke right now. sshhhh)

Losing a small amount of weight is FAR harder than those of us that had big numbers to conquer.

I say leave the window open – take a deep breath of fresh air – and then get out there and walk! :)
