. . . and I’m already into excuses, LOL! I ate pretty well today (didn’t go over my alloted points!) but I still have yet to exercise.
Why? I’m still trying to catch up on all the schoolwork that I missed when I had mono last semester. I’m also starting work on the show that I’m stage managing this semester.
So my question to you ladies: do any of you work? And if so, how do you manage to eat healthy and continue to exercise when you have extended hours? I have classes all day, then I somehow find time to eat lunch and supper in between classes and homework, then I have rehearsal until almost midnight. When I get home I crash, then get up in the morning and do it all over again. I don’t even get weekends off - I have lots of work and I have rehearsals too. How do you work the healthy lifestyle in to all that?

You did well today! I work a full time job 3 to 11 so my plan is to exercise in the mornings before my shower. We will see how that works out, my plan is to try and exercise atleast 5 days a week. :good:

Hi Lindsey,
I don’t work and I still have problems keeping to a healthy diet and exercising so I have a lot of admiration for those who work/go to school/college or whatever full time and manage to even think about exercise and healthy food choices.
You didn’t go over your points so like Valerie said you did great today!

I ordered my 8 minute workout DVD–I hope it will help.

I work.
I read somewhere that even 15 mins a day, or at a time, adds up.
Do you have time when you have lunch or dinner to go for a walk?
What about taking a break from your studies and doing lifting some weights. The break would be good for your head too. You might be able to concentrate better with a break here and there.
Just some thoughts….

I work fulltime.
I take my lunch and “snacks” to work with me and that helps keep me focused. I keep a box of 100 calorie pack snacks and Special K breakfast bars in my desk for munchies that I can’t resist, and I buy Lean Cuisine meals to keep in the freezer so I don’t “forget” my lunch on the counter.
It doesn’t sound like frozen lunches would work for you unless you had access to a fridge throughout the day, but I would try researching the area you travel in and see if you can map out healthier options for grabbing that meal. Raw veggies in baggies or fruit might be a good option for tiding you over between meals.

Yeah, frozen meals and things like that wouldn’t work to well (unfortunately). And pretty much all the campus food is unhealthy. Sigh . . . at least I get lots of walking in when I walk around campus, up and down the stairs, carrying all my books!
