Pounds2Go: 43.5 (-.5 lb from previous P2G)
Can you say “duh”?
I was all upset about my big blister all afternoon, and finally settled on doing the full 4 sections of my 8 minute workout today. 32 minutes of targeted workout is a good thing! As I fell asleep lastnight I was just thinking about putting shoes on for the next few days when suddenly, I remembered - shower shoes. THEN I thought, hey, why don’t I SWIM tomorrow? DUH! I don’t need shoes to swim!
So I’m officially announcing my idiocy. :duh:
I swam 1/4 mile today in 1/2 hour. My legs and arms and tummy feel so toned - I wish I could walk 3 miles and swim every day. There’s such a feeling of euphoria for me to feel my muscle - maybe it’s just the reminder that it does exist under the stuffed monkey sock that is my lower half!
I did a good job with my food log, I kept it just under 1500 cals, and am down 1/2 pound (again). I’m fluctuating on this 1/2 pound this week, it doesn’t seem to want to leave permanently. Here I wanted to break a milestone this weekend but I’m starting to wonder how that’s going to happen. I think if it’s still here on Monday I’m going to have to give it a name, this half pound, because usually when you name something it dies. heh.
A couple of people have asked about the Grapple, here’s the scoop on that fruit. It’s really good - but I was telling a friend of mine this morning that it would be cheaper to dice a regular apple, throw it in a bowl with some grapes.
You guys are all doing really great, it really is helping (me personally) stay on track! Thank you!!

Hi Leanne, I’m glad you found an alternative to walking..that was great that you didn’t use it as an excuse! WTG!
I woulda LOL..

What a girl….clever, resourceful and can swim to! Who knew! Ease up on yourself a bit. Just remember you didn’t gain it overnight and you won’t lose it over night!
3:43 pm
Good for you! I wish I liked swimming. Maybe I will once I lose these pounds. Good for you for finding an alternative.
Don’t worry that 1/2 pound will be history before you know it.

I do enjoy a grapple, but you’re right they are expensive aren’t they. And I have to wonder what’s wrong with a regular apple that we have to mess with it so? Good job on the swimming girlfriend! You would have to challenge me wouldn’t you? Ok, 3 weeks from today with no drive through? I’ll let you know how I do!
4:15 pm
Swimming is my favorite exercise, easy on the back and joints. I wish I had a indoor pool!! I know I could go to the club and swim, but that would mean me in a swimsuit in public and that ain’t happening, at least not yet!! :shame:
Good going on your achievements girl!
4:31 pm
Thanks everyone!
As far as the being seen in a public pool in a swimsuit - trust me - it’s NOT a big deal. Especially if you can go at a wierd time of day. I go mid-morning, so the people I see are retired, and they’re more interested in my tattoos.

I love that you are naming the soon-to-be-deceased 1/2 pounder. Keep up the good work–you inspire many

Tattoos?! Let’s see pics of them! I want to get a tattoo. On my shoulder of a penny and a dragonfly. Long story. Good alternative, Leanne.

I wish I could find a place that I could swim… (that didn’t require me to join the entire gym membership!)
I have a tattoo as well - maybe we ought to do a show and tell!
