No Change

Well, I stepped on the scale this morning and there was no change.  Yesterday, I drank my water, walked, and did the Bowflex thing with DH.  At first I was a little discouraged, but then I thought ‘well at least I didn’t gain any.’  I know it’s not going to happen over night, but I wanted the numbers to change even if it was a teeny tiny bit.

I had great intentions with my journal, but didn’t do it.  Maybe today. :)

Quick question…..Do you ladies weigh yourselves every day?

Don’t get discouraged! I have heard that if you start exercising it pumps up the muscles or something and can actually show a gain but then goes back down as your body gets used to the exercise. You did all the right stuff and I’m sure if you keep doing this that you will start noticing very soon the changes. I applaud anyone who has the motivation to get up and get moving!!! So you should be pround of yourself for that.

I weigh myself once a week, anything else just discourages me. I do weigh myself first before I go to WW to weigh in to see the difference in the scales.

I weigh myself every day. I’ve learned that I will fluctuate every single day, too. It depends a lot on water intake, the time of day, the situation you’re weighing yourself in. Also, the closer you get to your goal the harder it becomes. It’s easier to drop 20 when you’re carrying 40 excess, but once you get to 20 it seems take it’s sweet time coming off!

You had a great day - keep at it, it’ll happen!

I opt for once a week. There are times when I’m in a complusive mood that I weigh every time I go to the bathroom.

You’ll have a better idea of what you are doing if you weigh once a week. Otherwise my emotions go up and down along with the weight.

You might not see today, but tommorrow or the day after your scale will move down.

I have been peeking every day. Mainly because I can’t believe I lost 13 pounds w. my health stuff and am paniced(sp?) it will come back. I think once a week is better for my pysche.

Leanne taught me this…try taking measurements instead especially if you are doing weights and exercises to increase your muscle tone.

Weekly. The fluctuations are too much. Oprah even suggests Monthly! If you lose a little, you may splurge, if you gain, you may be discouraged–but over a week or longer, it is more accurate (I think).

I weight every day because I have to (medical reasons) but I find it also helps catch fluctuations that can become the Big Bad if I don’t get right on it.

I do, but I don’t get all wigged out about it because it really doesn’t mean much. I go more by my weekly weigh-in. I should say that I don’t get wigged out if it is a pound this way or that. If it is 3 lbs, then I get wigged. I wouldn’t worry. It will come.

Don’t get discouraged. And no I don’t weigh myself every day. Maybe twice a week. I’m back to having to lose 35 pounds because when I got 5 pounds from my goal weight I stopped losing and I got really down on myself. Not this time! I’m determined.
