Can you say “duh”?

I was all upset about my big blister all afternoon, and finally settled on doing the full 4 sections of my 8 minute workout today. 32 minutes of targeted workout is a good thing! As I fell asleep lastnight I was just thinking about putting shoes on for the next few days when suddenly, I remembered - shower shoes. THEN I thought, hey, why don’t I SWIM tomorrow? DUH! I don’t need shoes to swim!

So I’m officially announcing my idiocy. :duh:

I swam 1/4 mile today in 1/2 hour. My legs and arms and tummy feel so toned - I wish I could walk 3 miles and swim every day. There’s such a feeling of euphoria for me to feel my muscle - maybe it’s just the reminder that it does exist under the stuffed monkey sock that is my lower half!



No Change

Well, I stepped on the scale this morning and there was no change.  Yesterday, I drank my water, walked, and did the Bowflex thing with DH.  At first I was a little discouraged, but then I thought ‘well at least I didn’t gain any.’  I know it’s not going to happen over night, but I wanted the numbers to change even if it was a teeny tiny bit.

I had great intentions with my journal, but didn’t do it.  Maybe today. :)

Quick question…..Do you ladies weigh yourselves every day?

Made it through 1st day!

Well, I start my 2nd day of weight loss. I want to thank all of you who posted to me for the encouraging comments. I think I am really going to like this group because all of you seem “real” with stuff I can relate to.

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I even had treats although not what I would usually have. I had a Skinny Cow Icecream sandwich for dessert after a dinner of salad and chicken stirfry. As a snack in the morning I had a WW Chocolate chip peanut butter bar that was VERY good, almost like a candy bar. I felt good about the day except of course, no physical activity. I guess I will set a date for that too. I bought one of those big exercise balls with a few tapes and it looks fun so I will try to get that out of the packing it came in 2 months ago and actually try it out. I keep a big WW cup by my desk at work full of cold water so I do sip water all day and it forces me to get up from my desk to pee every so often. its when I am at home I forget about the water. I have found that even if I get my water in and have somewhat of a bad day, it doesnt make as much of a difference.



Going back to WW meetings.

After another day of all over the place eating and not very much exercise I have decided that I need to go back to WW meetings.  I mentioned it on Valeries blog last night, and in a couple of comments on here today i think?  Anyway, I am definately going back to meetings - we have worked out the money situation and we think we can do it.  First we thought about ordering the WW at home pack as that would work out cheaper per month than going to the meetings….BUT the problem with that is it would not give me what I need.  I have the information, I know what I need to do to lose weight.  I know I have to make healthy choices foodwise and get my butt out exercising….I don’t need WW to send me out a pack to tell me that.  What I need from WW is the weight in - the public weigh in.  I need to go there every week and have to face the WW leader and have her tell me that I have either lost or put on weight.  I won;t put on weight if I am going to meetings, I will LOSE weight - no doubt - because I will be to ashamed/embarrassed not to.  That is what I need from weightwatchers. So, my first meeting is on Tuesday morning - it starts at 10am and lasts for about an hour.  I wil have to post a new pounds2go number then as I am certain that the WW scales will weigh me different than the scales at the chemist and I will have to go by the “official” WW scales for my own benefit. :winking:



UGH!

Up a pound today. I guess I really should not be surprised. I ate a ton of junk yesterday and had cookies for breakfast. What the hell was I thinking? I know better, ok now to make the rest of the day better. I am about to go get on the treadmill and I am going to chug the water today! I will turn this stumble around. There I feel better already!



A Mixed Bag

Yesterday was a mixed bag of good and bad. I walked a mile (instead of 2), took my kids ice skating for 1 1/2 hours (my ankles have still not forgiven me), and walked and skateboarded to the park (about 1 mile round trip). I skateboarded most of the way there and walked home. I’m trying to teach my son how!I know you’re all thinking good right? Yeah, but I had Wendy’s for lunch! A single with cheese meal with a diet. I felt guilt immediately, but I guess we all trip up. I didn’t drink my water either. It was grilled salmon and tomatoes for supper which was very yummy. So, today I start again. I’m working a half day today and the treadmill will wait until I get home because I had so much trouble sleeping last night, but I will do it and if I don’t want to, I’ll call my friend to tell me to get my rear up there! No tip for the day ladies, I didn’t get enough sleep to bring it to the forefront of my thoughts today. Maybe later.



Food log Thurs.

Since Leanne asked to track our food yesterday, I did. Here go’s

2 waffles w. Pb for bfast 300 cal approx (3/4 eaten)

1/2 juice 70

Coffee w. soy milk 1/2 sipped 50

Gumball 25

4 chips 50???

Rootbeer 130

1/2 sandwich: turkey Lettuce, mato mayo 200

Soy milk w. proten poweder 250

2 pumpkin pancakes 200

fresh fruit salad 75

Which is approx 1350 calories. I don’t know some of calories numbers so I have plenty room if there are more than I calculated.

Obviously, I am missing a big category here: VEGIES!!!!I usually get more vegies in, but I haven’t been to the store and I am not going to do a big shopping until I plan my meals for next week. That will happen tomorrow.

This morning I had fresh raspberries w. yogurt and 1/3 c of Grape nuts and 1/2 cup of coffee.
