What I’m Full Of…

Okay, I’m on week 3 of a plateau, and while I know I should expect these every once in a while, that doesn’t mean it’s not annoying the boogers out of me. One part of my brain is moaning “at 1200 calories a day I should be able to sit in front of the TV and just drool and still lose weight” but the rational part is telling me to get off my ample tushy and break a sweat.

But the bad with the good: we did a preliminary run on our taxes, and Uncle Sam wants an insane amount of money from us. Enough that we have no idea how we’re going to come up with it. But the good thing? Last year that would have spurred both the Spouse Thingy and I do indulge in a little stress eating. All it did was make him get the runs (LOL, it did, and I shouldn’t laugh about it) and make me sit down at the computer and work All. Day. Long.

(Coming soon: Thumper puts up half of what she owns on Ebay) ;)

I really do need to get a little more physical…I just miss having people to work out with. No excuse, I know, but it was a lot more fun when I lived in Ohio next to several Evil People who dragged me off to aerobics every morning. And I miss being able to train in a martial art. And swimming.

See? I’m full of excuses!

We actually had to take out a small loan once to pay our taxes, so I know how you feel. This was before ebay! :winking: Good for you not stress eating. Maybe you should have got the runs, then you would lose weight. :)

It will come–the motivation will be there. Of course, you now put the Olivia Newton-John song in my head :)

Movivation is found when you least expect. Platateu’s suck. You can be doing so well then nuthin.
Just keep up.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to lose weight and not have to do anything but sit and drool. I would be a size 0.

At least you’ve lost enough weight to have reached a plateau. :) You’ll get jump-started again, I’m sure.

I still shouldn’t laugh, but the Spouse Thingy did lose 4 pounds overnight. He found them after drinking normally, but for a while he was happy with the scale.

That just sucks! We may ahve to pay too this year….EEK!

Maybe you need to eat a little more on some days. Is it 1200 all the time everyday? Your body might think it’s starving and hang on even harder….

I know it is a lot easier when you have a workout buddy. They can give you that little extra nudge when you don’t feel like working out.

I’m sorry to hear about your tax situation. I’m not looking forward to doing ours.

Boy, oh boy, do I know the TaxMan story. I’m already sweating April’s impending arrival…

Ugh. I don’t even want to begin thinking about taxes. The thought scares me. But, like healthier living, it’s something we have to work at to get. Don’t sweat it. I’m sure you’ll be starting soon.
