We had a good great day today. We actually stayed motivated amid all sorts of running around, car repairs, packing Christmas decorations away, etc. All meals were eaten at the table–quite nice. I even lit candles.
We had a tossed salad with a hard cooked egg (each) for brunch and for supper, a beef stir-fry on a bed of rice, lots of veggies. I think we’re short on water, but that’s something I’ve got to really work at.
All in all, it was a super Day Two, thanks in large part to all of you. Just knowing that others are in the same boat helps a lot!

Glad we could be of help. Veggies, stir-fry, salad, - what a great day

I’m stubborn, if nothing else.
Honestly, I’m just so tired of doing this over and over and over for the past 20-some years that I think my mindset is just different this time. Of course, we’re only a couple days in…so time will tell, but I have a much more positive attitude than I’ve had before. I just finished reading Dr. Phil’s book as well–it has some very revealing info in it.

Way to go! Awesome! Sounds like good food, too.

That’s awesome! I forget to drink water too. And I’ve read that by the time you notice you are thirsty you are already on the road to dehydration.

:yahoo: That’s awesome!

NancyB- I’m happy for you!! I know it’s hard to remember to drink your water when you have a busy day.

Good for you Nancy. I love having dinner at the table with my family too. As a child, we never ate at the table and I think that is why I insist upon it. Not only is it good to slow down your eating, its a great time to connect with family. Have another great day!

Making a big deal about our meals is one good way to help lose the weight. Make it a production! You’re on the right path. DH and I always mute or turn off the TV and we sit together at the table and the baby joins us in his high chair. Too many families sit in front of the TV and have no interaction. Mealtime is the best time for interaction.
