Resting For the Weary

With my damaged arm, I didn’t sleep well last night.  Since I had already decided yesterday not to do daycare today, I took most of the day to ice and elevate my arm and to catch up on the sleep that I lost last night.  I feel much better today and my arm isn’t quite as sore.

I didn’t write down everything today, but here is what I ate:

Chocolate Malt-o-meal for breakfast

Berry Burst Cheerios with milk for lunch

Broccoli Cheese soup and french bread for dinner

Not too bad, I don’t think.  I didn’t drink any water today.

I plan to return to program tomorrow, including water consumption and going to the gym for a little bike riding or treadmill walking.

My Best Time Yet

I did my best time yet on the treadmill! 2 miles in 30 min 20 sec. I didn’t manage 5:30 this morning, so I had to do it after work when its harder for me to get motivated. I noted that I didn’t have the energy level today that I did yesterday when I did it in the morning. So tomorrow I vow to get up in the morning and get going. I did ok with lunch today having a tomatoe and half a cucumber diced with a little lite Italian dressing. And then I got home and heated up a leftover bowl of chili. Probably not the best choice so I’ve decided that was dinner and I will have a small salad while the rest of my family eats grilled mahi, baked potatoes (which is my absolute most favorite food!) and salad. I weighed myself yesterday and remained at a 1/2 lb weight loss for my first week. In order not to get discouraged I’m not going to weigh myself until Monday again, but I might check my inches since I’ve had more success there. The tricks we play on ourselves, huh? This woman I work with has lost 114 lbs in the last year. She did WW and walked 2 miles a day. She is now at her goal and is trying to maintain. I’m so proud of her and so inspired by her. She leads a busy life just like me. Work, kids, sports, the whole deal, and I know that if she can do it, I can too and so can you! Stay motivated!

Hubby is getting it!

Tonight Tony came home and T and I were napping, he said he was going to start dinner. We had chicken thighs with homemade fried rice and a salad with light dressing. The great thing was he wanted to marinate the chicken in italian dressing and I said not mine please. He then asked if I could have salt and pepper and how about a little BBQ sauce. I love that he knew I was really trying and he made sure I could eat what he was cooking. He also asked how big my portion of rice could be. ½ cup for 4 points but it was good. I am so happy he is starting to take me serious on this journey.

I want to leave you all with a pic I took today. I hope this works….

My “thing” today

I join WW tomorrow. Yippee :scare:

Anyway, I made my choice of what my one change today is.

One thing I hate about WW (as do several bizillion people, that’s an actual count, they told me) is planning the meals And I’ve said before that I hate food shopping, so planning is worse. If I write down ideas for meals, it makes it easier to shop. I know I always need milk and stuff so that’s easy. It’s the planning of lunch and dinner. I usually have leftovers for lunch so it makes it easier when I leave for work also. Just grab the tupperware.

What I started doing is writing down a list. If I decide I have an urge for chicken, goes on the list, salad, goes on the list. Then when I make a shopping list, I can get ideas, Ohh chicken, need brocolli to go with that
(that’s a meal) ohh salad, maybe some shrimp to throw in
(that’s a meal) right there I have at least 4 meals dinner and lunch for the next day.

Leanne : Day 10

Leanne’s Log
(beginning weight from 12/27/05, when I started really logging everything again)

Total (+/-)

50.5 lbs. 42.0 lbs. -0.5 lbs. -8.5 lbs.

Oh I can’t resist coming up with new ways to make myself feel good about my progress. I’m a long way from where I want to be, but every little bit is awesome!

Today I noted another loss of 1/2 a pound. This leaves me with 1/2 pound to go to reach my mini-goal of breaking one-hundred & mmmfty pounds (that I wanted to break last Saturday), and also with only 5 lbs. to lose by my b-day (in 5 days.) That’s a pound a day. Hm. We shall see.

I measured in inches today too, and that just rocked. I’m a happy girl.

Unchecked and Checked! and Day 2!

Just making sure I’m doing this right. Is this right, Leanne?

Still eating on plan, tons on the calendar to do, so I have to run….
:D
