was actually OK!
My leader is called Helen and she seems very motivated, she herself has lost over 4 stone on WW, so she does know what she is talking about. I have met her before – she was the leader of the meeting that I went to first time around! She said she kind of recognised my face, that was a few years (and stones) ago now!
Weighed in at 15 stone 2 lbs (212lbs) so 86 POUNDS 2 GO.
Bit more than I thought using the other scales, but when you are this kind of size 2 or 3 pounds doesn’t seem like a big deal. I think I will feel differently about this before my 1st official WW weigh in next week!
Well, the Weightwatchers program seems a little different – Its now called Switch and I can choose between “No count” and “Full count” – I have chosen “Full count” for my 1st week as I think part of my problem is that I don’t always realise when I am full – which is quite a bit part of the “No count” plan…..
So, here goes 1st steps on the weightwatchers road to city slim!

Ya on going to the meeting. Here in the USA they call it flex or core program. I am doing the flex program. Are you drinking your water? :winking:
9:35 am
Good luck, Valerie!
9:37 am
Ooops…that should have been good luck to IvoryFrog!
But good luck to you too, Valerie!
10:03 am
Hooray for getting started, Ivoryfrog! It’s a big step just joining up and the group support is great.
10:14 am
That is totally different than what we have here in Minnesota. Our plan is called Flex. We either have points where you count your points or we have core where there are certain foods that you don’t have to count (they are free) if they aren’t the free foods, you count them in your weekly 35 flex points. Maybe it is the same and they just call it something different.

Well that seals it. I want to measure myself in Stone. It is friendly-sounding.
Kudos on the great WW meeting!

Glad you made it to a meeting! I had said one time at a meeting that I only lost 3 lbs. and it didn’t seem like much so our leader got out a weight that weighed 3 lbs. and passed it around.. it puts that notion into a whole new perspective. I always remind myself of that when I think of the little things. Good luck with your WW program! I know you will soar!

Sue is right- get out a 5lb bag of sugar and remember how heavy that is when you drop even just a portion of it.
Ivoryfrog – I was 233 lbs. when I started in 2004. It’s a slow process, but you’re headed in the right direction! Congrats on your first meeting!
3:52 pm
I was 218 when I started this venture with WW, ivoryfrog – I know you can do it!
12:35 pm
That is great that you got started. Iwant to weigh myself in stones, too LOL!
