Thanks everyone for all the encouragement. You ladies are all so wonderful. I browse around on ObesityHelp.com and I have to say I am really liking this group so much better than that site for many reasons. You are all so encouraging and helpful and kind.
Just had to let you all know!
My day went okay yesterday. We had a meeting with lunch provided at work so I tentatively checked out the food. They were Quiznos sandwiches and I found a pretty healthy one, just turkey and it wasn’t all that big, no cheese or a lot of mayo. It came with a bottle of water and a little bag of Fritos. I didn’t think it would hurt much to eat the chips, just a small bag, right? Well, after I went home I found out that that “little” bag of chips was 7 points. Dammmm. We wont be doing that again. But everything else was okay, that sandwich was about 4 or 5 points. Dinner was leftover lemon chicken (not the fried kind), made from scratch and a little rice. Very good. Tonight it is cube steak, a small yukon gold potato and some green beans and a salad. I have been packing a lunch bag for work and filling it with fruit and a yogurt and a ww bar so I am not tempted to go to the cafeteria or across the street to Raley’s. Exercise… still not happening.
Tomorrow is weigh in day so I am going to be really careful today.
Congrats to all of you for all the progress you have made so far!!!:good::yahoo: WE CAN DO IT!

You’re still doing well, Sue! Your determination shows in that you’re preparing meals and packing a healthy, low cal and high energy lunch to get you through the afternoon. That’s progress, girlfriend!

You are doing a great job Sue. As for the 7 points bag of chips live and learn.

Seven points? I had no idea. Like Valerie said, live and learn. I honestly wouldn’t have thought that either.
I found that if I focused on eating one week and then added in the working out part (even walking) the next week, it helped. I sordda worked on one thing then added to it until i was eating good, working out and drinking water (all of my goals).
You’re going great, girl!

Hey, you kept track and wrote it down, right? Way to go! Plus, you learned something from it. Celebrate that!

Those chips will get ya every time - mores the pity for me because I just LOVE potato chips. I have found a new snack - Pretzel Crisps - they’re flat pretzels and they’re awesome with low fat dip. Worth a try?
