My Best Time Yet

I did my best time yet on the treadmill! 2 miles in 30 min 20 sec. I didn’t manage 5:30 this morning, so I had to do it after work when its harder for me to get motivated. I noted that I didn’t have the energy level today that I did yesterday when I did it in the morning. So tomorrow I vow to get up in the morning and get going. I did ok with lunch today having a tomatoe and half a cucumber diced with a little lite Italian dressing. And then I got home and heated up a leftover bowl of chili. Probably not the best choice so I’ve decided that was dinner and I will have a small salad while the rest of my family eats grilled mahi, baked potatoes (which is my absolute most favorite food!) and salad. I weighed myself yesterday and remained at a 1/2 lb weight loss for my first week. In order not to get discouraged I’m not going to weigh myself until Monday again, but I might check my inches since I’ve had more success there. The tricks we play on ourselves, huh? This woman I work with has lost 114 lbs in the last year. She did WW and walked 2 miles a day. She is now at her goal and is trying to maintain. I’m so proud of her and so inspired by her. She leads a busy life just like me. Work, kids, sports, the whole deal, and I know that if she can do it, I can too and so can you! Stay motivated!

That’s a cool story about your co-worker. Mahi and baked potatoes shouldn’t be bad for you. I think you are doing great!

Don’t forget your breakfast - most important meal of the day to kick start that metabolism. :)

Mahi and a plain baked potato probably wouldn’t have been that bad for you, maybe just small pieces next time? :)

You are doing great. Walking, watching what you eat. It’s great. Keep it up.

We all have tricks. Inches instead of pounds. Water.

Keep it up.

Thanks everyone! You know what, I was actually satisfied with my salad, since I had that chili earlier. Funny, a week ago I would have eaten it anyway even if I wasn’t hungry anymore.

I know it’s hard to get up and work out that early in the morning, but I push myself. I really feel good once I get going. I do one mile in the morning and 2 miles in the evening.

Way to go on your time!!

Way to go! Keep it up. If chili was the downfall, that’s not bad :)

Chili is actually pretty good for you (with beans, the beans matter a lot). Good job on your treadmill time! My mouth dropped open. I couldn’t even do a 15-minute mile in high school! LOL

Nice job, Clara!
