Hi, I am Char. My friend, YellowRose (aka Sherry) sent me here. I am so glad she did. This is a great place. I have battled my weight since I was a child. I lost 100 pounds about 8 years ago, but because of a knee injury, I have gained it all back. With my permanent knee injury, it makes it difficult to exercise, but I did find out recently that I could do a recumbent bike. I am here because I need support. I need someone that understands the battle that losing weight can be. We, as women, are the caretakers, always taking care of others and sometimes we forget the most important person to care for, OURSELVES.

Hi Char! I’m glad YellowRose sent you this way, too. I have the perfect suggestion for you! SWIMMING! Find somewhere you can swim - and get to the pool. It is amazing how joint pain is non-existant in the pool, and you get an aerobic workout that can’t be beaten. Truly.

Amen to the lifetime weight-loss battle. I never had a problem until I stopped exercising! No fair! But, it makes me feel good and look good, so it’s worth it. I also have two kids and a new husband. They all demand so much time! Exercise is ‘me time’. My excuse to ‘get away’. It’s worth it because I’m worth it and so are you!
