I am just 2.5 lbs. from my mini-goal for my b-day on Sunday! I think I can I think I can!
If you’re wondering, last summer I bought the 6 Week Body Makeover package. In it was a little plan to jumpstart your metabolism and get used to eating smaller meals throughout the day. It’s a six-day plan, and this 6 day mini-makeover is what I’ve been doing since Sunday. I’ll be done tomorrow, so I’ll see what the scale has to say Saturday morning about my goal!
Let me tell you how it’s changed my body.
1. Black coffee = yum! I don’t mind it without creamer anymore!
2. Water - OMG it is so filling, I still can’t tell the difference between “I’m hungry” and “I’m thirsty” (because “I’m parched” is totally distinguishable), but I’ll learn.
3. Salad without dressing is GREAT!
4. Brown rice - when mixed with veggies and a meat and no other additives or flavorings, really isn’t as bland as it was the first couple of days.
5. Eggbeaters ROCK!
6. Small amounts of natural foods give me SO much energy I have gotten a ton of stuff done around the house.
7. Red Ruby Grapefruit juice (100% natural fresh squeezed) is really sweet! I hated the tartness, had to force myself to drink it. But since I haven’t had processed sugars in nearly a week, the natural sugars in the juice is really tasting SO wonderful. I can’t wait to buy more fruits - maybe try some pears. Definitely worth cutting processed sugars out of my diet - there’s a huge change in my palette since Sunday.
8. I still. don’t. like. tuna. Blech. I love other fish - but NOT tuna. Thank God that’s a once-a-day thing.
So there you have it. I still have a long way to go - but I put on a pair of pants today that I haven’t been able to get up over my hips for almost a year. (Clara, is 9 months almost a year?!)
I just have to patch up the hole in ‘em that I made from TRYING to get them up over my hips.
Exercise, yes! I’ve been swimming every day for the last few days. 1/2 hour, 9 laps, 1/4 mile. I tried some muscle toning exercises here at home but I think I was doing them wrong - so I’ll make time to go to the equipment room at the gym and have someone teach me how to do them right.
That’s it for me today - here’s to the next 10 pounds, may you rest in hell, with all the other fat cells of the world!

:yahoo: Yayyyy Leanne! I know what you mean about the sugars. I try to not have anything with a serving of more than 5 grams of extra sugar added. Also, when I cut out the fats (fast food grease) for a long time and then when I have one it is awful. I know you meet your mini goal!! WTG!!

Good for you Leanne. I could never do that plan. To restrictive and I HATE grapefruit! I am glad that you are able to and that you are reaching your goals that you set for yourself. :good:
