I walked 10 miles this week. TEN. I still have to pinch myself, because I can’t believe I did it.
Of course by last night, my FMS was flaring and I was DOG. TIRED. Plus I have a pinched nerve in my pinky toe, and since I have about 150 miles on these shoes, it looks like a trip to the shoe store is in my future. But today it was better (yay for cushy organic hemp socks LOL). I did crash for a nap today too.
The scale is still only showing -3 change, no matter how hard I flogged that scale to try to get it to submit to my will (oh come on, you *know* you’ve done that too
). But I can feel subtle changes here and there. Still fluffy, just an eensy bit less than I was last week.
I tell you, joining this group, and all the support I’ve received here, has made a difference. I feel so renewed, and though it was hard to get through my workouts for the past 2 days, I’m more determined than ever.
I was a bit bummed at one point to realize the little elderly woman next to me was walking faster than I was (even though I worked out longer overall). But bless her heart, she stopped me in the locker room, told me to keep up the good work, and gave me a huge hug. AWWW! The gym staff has been giving me encouragement every day, so I’m tired, and I hurt, but loving the warm fuzzies.
You all SO ROCK MY WORLD. I can’t tell you how much it means to read your supportive words. My energy and pain levels prevent me from responding and commenting as much as I’d like to, but please know that I am cheering for each and every one of you.
I’m just glad it’s Friday, and I get to take a little break from the gym, so I can go back on Monday, all refreshed. But I hope to give a new workout DVD a try this weekend–a blogging friend gave me The Biggest Loser Workout, it looks fun (and I lurve the show).

Angel, You are so awesome! Seriously, you really do inspire me. I have never done 60 minutes on the treadmill before until you told me that you did more than that. I have been diagnosed with Lupus, so I can relate to the fatigue you feel regarding your FMS. They have very similar symptoms and are often mistaken for each other. Keep up the good work and know that there is at least one person out here who thinks of you as a hero. :friends:
P.S. I love the word fluffy! :winking:

You are doing awesome. Take it one day at a time.

Whoa girl, your making me look bad! (tee hee.) I am impressed. YOu may need to cut back on the walking so much to let your body heal. You rock!

Oh man, The Biggest Loser is the only game/reality show I’ve ever had the itch to be on. Heh, we need to get a bunch of people from the FMS newsgroup to petition for a Very Special Edition of it…let those trainers deal with 16 people with FMS and CMPS and see who’s crying at the end

Hey Angel, I have FMS too. To do what you accomplished this week in spite of that is nothing short of amazing. You go girl!!
