I’m not feeling that good about this week, which is why I haven’t blogged on here the past few days. I’m not getting to work out to the level I was this week and I haven’t eaten as well either. I’ve snuck little bites here and there, I have been 1-2 points over my target most days, and I’m just not with my game like I was last week.
I am dreading weighing in, to be honest. I’m also retaining water (my T.O.M.) and I may be weighing in 2 days earlier and at midday instead of early morning because I’m switching locations.
I may end up weighing in again at my old location on Saturday, because we have painters coming to our house tomorrow and the next day. This is the one thing right now I’m chipper about–the painting!
Tonight must be a no snacks after dinner night to redeem today. And, tomorrow must be a low, low point day to hopefully get me back on track. I think my biggest problem is that when I’m bored or stressed, I nibble. I’ve got to learn not to do that!
Any tips? Yes, I have tons of hobbies I could do, but I have these two little things called an almost 2 year old and a 61/2 year old that seem to keep me from doing that during the day. Any other ideas or motivational words?

Maybe make healthy snacks with them? Or take them out of the house and pack only things you plan to eat?

They make lots of cute kids “exercise” videos–dancing, yoga, etc–that you could do at home with the kids. Or even just put on some music and dance with them.
Hang in there–I know it’s tough when they are so young!!

Hand cuff your hands behind your back?! Just kidding. I have the same problem, so any words of wisdom you get, I will be listening in on. I am not the after dinner snacker, I am the nibble-during-the-day-while-I-am-making-meals-and-playing-with-the-kids kind of nibbler.

I PMSed this past weekend and totally blew it. I haven’t blogged with an update either. I’m turning things around this week and hopefully by Friday I’ll have a decent update. We just have to keep getting up when we fall.

TOM makes everything harder! And don’t trust this weigh in, there are a million reasons it could be wrong. Don’t sweat it, give yourself another week to get back on track.
When my kids were younger, I crocheted, because I could pick it up and put it down quickly, and there was no danger of it getting ruined if the kids pulled the hook out (not like knitting, yikes!) I had a group of friends and we’d all make granny squares and put them together into afghans and donate them to charities. Maybe you could find something like that in your area?

first off, don’t stress a small setback. for every 2 steps forward, sometimes you’re going to have to take one back. so, its ok. knowing you’ve taken a small misstep is good. now, take the necessary measures to ensure it doesn’t happen again!
as for the kids…..::SIGH::…i have the same problem. what i’m trying to do is get the kids involved in my weightloss. they think its fun! “mom, is that cookie on your “approved list” of things to snack on? no….so can i have it?” they also love to keep track of what i eat & how much i work out during the day. lol!! we all now have “chore charts”!

Hi CMC – hang in there! Evenings are hard for me, too. I found a great article on that very thing this morning on SparkPeople and am just about to post the link. Maybe there will be some tips there. Don’t be discouraged; you may do much better than you think at your weigh-in! :good:

Man, oh man, do I know that TOM thing. I am a little excited to weigh in Friday because I think I’ve lost a couple pounds in just retained water!!!! Stupid girl-stuff.
