My Husband….

….is my driving force.  Really.  He pushes me and pushes me until I do what I need to do.  Tonight, I said I was going to work out and before I could change my mind, he went outside, started my truck, brushed all the snow off of it (we got about 2 inches of snow in only a couple hours today) and came back in to tell me my truck was running and waiting for me to go to the gym and then he left to go to the grocery store to get some last minute items for dinner.  He knows if I get out the door, I will go.  Since I would have had to go out to shut off the damn truck, I would end up going to the gym.  So I went to the bathroom, gathered up my stuff and trudged off to the gym.

Lower than dirt

I’ve been on Weight Watchers for two weeks and you know what I’ve lost?

Answer:  About 14 days.

I could say I lost my sense of humor and my will to live but that would definitely be “over kill”.

Even Miss Chirpy couldn’t get a rise from me today.

After a careful week of being obcessive complusive about drinking my water, counting my points, portion control, and weighing every time I went to the bathroom I was rewarded on the scale by gaining two pounds.

When you gain weigh at Weight Watchers they don’t say anything to you.  They don’t even make eye contact with you.  No one says,  “Too many twinkies this week, huh?”

The weigh- in lady simpy records your weight and hands it to you.  I think I almost would have preferred putting a Big Pink Pig Sticker  on my forehead…..at least someone would have said, “Oh you poor baby, next week will be a better week for you!”

End of (Official) Week 1

Well, I won’t weigh myself until morning, but overall it’s been a good week!  I went over my 1200 calories today by 300 or so, but stayed within that 12-1500 range.  Still, I really want to try to stay closer to the 1200.  (Hotdogs for supper tonight, and that’s what put me over!  They have so much fat.)  Nonetheless, I measured for the fun of it tonight again, and I’ve lost another 1/2″ off my waist and a 1/2″ off my hip measurements!  So I was happy about that.  I think all that water flushed part of my butt away!

I also managed to meet my smaller goals that I had set in the SparkPeople program.  I met my water quota every day; ate at the table; kept track/journaled all food; and got some exercise in, though it could have been better on the exercise front.

Good news and Bad

Well, I have been doing yoga regularly still, but have not been doing a great job of keeping track of eating this week. We’ll see what the damage is at weigh in tomorrow. This morning my weight was still down and I havne’t been eating tons, but I think I really need to report in here every single today from now on to stay on track.

Thank all of you for your wonderful support.

Well, I did have a plug for you to go vote for me at the Bobs, but voting is now over! And thanks everyone. I pulled into 4th like I wanted to. LOL

Thanks!!

Support

I don’t have a weight or anything to report, until tomorrow, but I just wanted to say thanks for the nice warm welcomes I got from a bunch of you. I think this is going to really help me stick with this diet. Even if the ice-cream cravings never go away…

An interesting site

Just in case you ever wondered how bad it is for you.

And, sorry,but I lied.  I lost 3.6 lbs.  Not 3.4

Not so long ago, I’d wear a skirt

So, I’m fully recovered from the bug that knocked me off my butt last weekend. But, sadly, it didn’t knock OFF half my butt last weekend, so I’m still here all dimply and feeling a bit defeated.

Y’all.. I’m stuck a bit. I made chocolate chip scones. And ate them. I had wine and yummy goodness for dinner and cooked and partook. I hit my goal last week (157) but I can’t help thinking this is why I’m not losing any faster or steadier. I truly believe one day won’t kill you and even a whole week will perhaps stall you, but shouldn’t de-rail you. So, I’m picking up the torch again and working out tomorrow (I have worked out three times this week, though, so it’s not a total loss. I’ve just eaten crappy.)
