Got Treadmill?

Do you have a treadmill? Do you want a treadmill? What kind of exercise equipment do you use, what kind would you use if you had it right in your home?

I am asking because I am thinking about raffling off a brand new treadmill to one of our members, so SPEAK UP! What would your interest level be in contributing a minimum of $10 and having a 1 in 40-60′ish chance of winning?

Hmmm. I already have one, but my Dad could use one. He’s living with heart failure and trying to lose weight so he can have surgery on a blocked artery in his leg.

I’ll think on it. I’d probably contribute $10 at a chance…besides this is a great support network that I don’t mind giving to if it stays around!

You know, this sounds like fun. I think I could do this!

Heck, I don’t necessarily want one, but I’d pony up $10 for a shot at one. I could use a new coat rack… ;)

I don’t have one, and would love to. But I live in a smallish apartment and don’t know where I’d put it. :( It might be a challenge getting one to Canada, too. I make do with an exercise ball, some resistance bands and my Yoga tape for now. It’s a great idea, though!

I already have one, but that is a great idea for those that don’t!!!

You know, our eliptical machine DIED thursday. I use it every day (or at least three times a week) and now I have nothing.

I’d TOTALLY use a treadmill. We are thinking of getting one now. So yea.. count me in!!

I would TOTALLY go for that! I was just looking into buying one, because my rheumatologist said my elliptical trainer is too hard on me.

Very nice idea. I personally would prefer an eliptical, but they are probably more $$.

I have a Bowflex I don’t seem to manage to use, so as much as I think I might use a treadmill, I bet someone else would use it more often. I’d certainly toss in my 10 jr. bacon cheeseburgers to contribute. :D

[I hope I'm not the only one that's seen that Wendy's commercial...]

I would LOVE a treadmill – just been pestering Leigh about one – but he says we don’t have enough money at the moment, which is true. :bawling:

Don’t think you would be able to ship one over to me here in Scotland anyway Leanne, if you could I would definately take part for $10!

I have one already, and it’s definitely worth having.

“I would definitely enter a raffle for a treadmill,” says the lurker who reads often for inspiration and motivation.

I’ve had a treadmill, but it ended up as a decoration in the corner of the room…. :shame: Now I have a stationary Airdyne bike and so far, I’ve not used it as religiously as I should. I’m needing that kick in the butt I talked about in my profile post! :shame: :duh: :slaphappy:

I have a YMCA membership and am trying diligently to use it. It’s all new there – and the treadmills and elliptical machines are so nice…

But, I DID invest in a little home-exercise-equipment this weekend : DDR!

Ever heard of this game? Dance Dance Revolution? Last night we bought the mat & game, I plugged it in and it IS addictive. The kids were whining that I was hogging it and I’d broken a sweat and was huffing and puffing – next thing I knew, 30 minutes had gone by – the kids needed to go to bed, and I’d gotten exercise WITHOUT EVEN TRYING. :jawdrop:

The best thing I’ve ever found to “trick” myself into exercising. DDR Max. I love it.

i would have an eliptycal(sp) if i could have anything. But i have 4 kids and they rule the house with their stuff
but we do belong to a gym with free daycare. I am just too much of a germaphobe to take my kids there in the winter months.

There’s not enough interest to warrant having a raffle right now. Thank you to those members who gave me feedback! I appreciate it!
