=Pounds Head On Desk=

Week six of a plateau. This is getting freaking frustrating! I refuse to eat any less, so that means =shudder= I’m going to have to make time to sweat a little more.

Someone wanna buy me a heated swimming pool?

One of the most unfair things I found when I did WW was getting LESS points the more weight you lose.

Yeah, the math makes sense, but blech. And so, you exercise.

KEEP IT UP! YOU CAN DO IT!

Mix it up a bit! How are you balancing your carbs/proteins? What’s your daily intake of bad fat/good fat? Fiber? I found that when I plateau, I reduce fat, increase good carbs (like brown rice) and have an extra 10-20 grams of protein a day. Rotating a little bit every couple of days will get your body back into burn mode.

You can come swim with me anytime, though!!

I’m doing a pretty good job of mixing it up…luckily I have a friend who’s a nutritionist and she helps alot. I’m eating right, I just really need to exercise but I’m having horrible back pain right now. I really DO need to get into a pool, but until we scrape together enough for taxes, that’s not happening…

Plus, I just like to whine… :p

Mmm…heated swimming pool. I wish! :) You’ll break though this plateau, Thumper. At least you’re not gaining anything, so you’re eating right. Good luck–I know how frustrating it can be.

Even if you’re not losing weight, by eating right you’re doing yourself a huge favor! You’re much healthier than you were 6 weeks ago, just because you’re giving your body the proper fuel it needs to run.

Oh, I would SOOO buy you a heated pool. Then I’d come over at 6am and swim when you didn’t know it. :-)

I totally agree with mixing it up. Maybe there’s a place to join (YMCA)? that’s not too horribly expensive to swim. Our gym has an outdoor pool (no help 9 months a year) but the Y has an indoor heated pool for 10 bucks a month just for a swimming pass. Just a thought.

Hang in there.

Thumper, I have been where you are. Keep with it! You can do it. If you really need an incentive to keep going, email me at shellimil@comcast.net and I will fax you a copy of my WW book that shows how long I have been going and not really losing any weight.

Aww that sucks. Are you losing inches and not weight? Inches count too. Stay with it and it will disappear like magic.

You can do it.
