Low carb potatoes? Yup. I had them for supper tonight and they’re delicious. :slaphappy:

I can’t believe the weekend’s almost gone. Man, they whiz by.
I had a good day today. I had an excellent day until suppertime — I roasted a chicken (sounds like something you’d do at a Comedy Club…) and made dressing instead of potatoes, thin gravy (after cooling and removing most of the fat), and mixed veggies. Which was all just fine, except that I ate enough dressing to put me 100 calories over my 1200 goal, but still within the 1200-1500 range. No snacks tonight!
How did everyone else do over the weekend? Looking forward to a more structured tomorrow!
Well, even though my weight has actually gone up, it appears I have lost some somewhere. Yesterday, I went to look for new bras, and wouldn’t you know I had to go down a size. I am well-endowed (nursing three kids alone will do that to you), shall we say, so it really isn’t noticeable, but isn’t that just the way? The boobs are the first to go!
I worked out with my husband today. I lifted and went 5 miles on the bike! I was really workin’ it! I was dripping wet and my butt is killing me! But, you know what? I feel great (other than the soreness that is).
One more thing…Especially for all you drinking-water-haters out there. I found the perfect solution to help you get in those required glasses of water. I went to the grocery store, you could go to your local coffee shop, too, and I bought a bottle of Torani Sugar-free Raspberry flavored syrup. I put a couple tbsp. in a 23oz. bottle with ice and water and then I squeeze two lemon slices into the water and drop them in the bottle. It tastes like a slightly weak raspberry lemonade. I made my own Propel. Except it has ZERO calories and only 5mg sodium per serving! It is really good. They have all different flavors and you can order them online, too. The two links above are separate. The first is for the Torani main page and the Sugar-free is for the whole line of sugar-free syrups, so you can see what they have available.
I just know I am going to have a good week and next weigh in I am going to have a loss!
Can anyone remember who posted the great link to the article on water and why one needs to drink it? I don’t think it was the about.com one. Anyone? I wanted to print it off and now I forget who posted it. :duh: Thanks in advance if you know!

Um, never mind. :shame: I had put a shortcut to the article on my desktop. Heehee.
Yesterday I did so crappy! I don’t hate myself, but jeez did I do crappy. I didn’t eat every couple of hours, and I got a headache from that. I had breakfast at lunchtime – had to run errands – then I ate a bit (and it was not a nice salad with some sliced turkey, it was a no-pudge brownie). My headache went away and we were on our way out the door to go see Martina McBride (the concert was absolutely incredible, I took pics and they’re on my blog).
We were going to go to Friday’s for dinner before the concert but there was a 2 hour wait. Ugh. So we went to an italian steakhouse and all they had available was a buffet they do for event nights since they’re across from the stadium. They had a lot of (bad stuff) available and I chose well – I had wild rice, plain lettuce (picked out the croutons) with no dressing, 2 small breasts of chicken marsala, and steamed mixed veggies – top it off with a glass and a half of merlot.
Yeah that part was alright. They also had creme broulee (sp?) – those little pastries – they died and went to heaven in my mouth. I shouldn’t even TYPE it here because now you’re thinking about those dang little things, aren’t you? Well knock that off – and I promise never to touch (two) of those things again. OMG.
THEN we went over to the concert. And I had 3 or 4 (I can’t remember) bacardi silver raz coolers and they were going down like water. Speaking of which, I didn’t even DRINK my water yesterday.. I think I had 20 ounces!
ARGH! 20 lashes with 100 ounce bottles of Evian, please! CRUD! :duh:
