Doing all this yoga has had me thinking about Detoxing. So last night I did a search and found a two week detox diet that wasn’t as radical as I had imagined. I can have fruit, vegetables, beans, rice, and some teas.
So, I’m going to do it for two weeks. Anyone with experience in this? I just want to feel clean and healthy and go from there.
No more weight loss, than the initial 3 pounds, but my pants are fitting much better and I’m feeling great.

Your overall well being is a better indicator of how you’re doing than the scales, I think.

I have detoxed before.
The thing that might happen is a healing crisis type of thing. Where you get headachey or flu like symptoms as toxins are released. Esp. if you are giving up coffee. I found drinking lots and lots of water made it better. Let us know how it goes.

I’ve been thinking of doing this as well. I start Yoga on T/R this week and I always get into the mood to detox.
Let us know how it goes and also what you are choosing to do. I’d like one that’s not too.. you know.. what’s the word.. insane?

That sounds a lot like the 6 day thing I just did. I drank 100 oz. of water a day – it was HARD, but on the 6th day? All worth it. I had a new starting point, and new cravings.
I put the 6 day thing I did in the recipe section if you want to have a look at it, see if it’s at all similar to what you’re finding – I’m curious to know.
