Well I weighed myself when I got to work today and I am down 10 lbs. now.  Last night I had a hard time.  I was in an anxious mood (bad for me) and thinking about things I didn not want to think about and so I just went to bed cuz I knew I would start to nibble.  Well, that didn’t work and I got up and polished off some graham crackers and a glass of milk.  Man they tasted so good.  I guess there are worse things I could have eaten but still, it was just one of those things.  I’m okay with it, but it just irritates me.  I still lost another pound but still… late night eating is not good.  Anyone have any ideas on something satisfying to keep on hand for those situations so you don’t eat a bunch of something?

I have to say WOW to our groups total weight loss calculated.  Despite everything, I think we all deserve a big pat on the back because each and every one of us has made some kind of a positive change, some big some small but good changes all the way around. Way to go ladies!!!!

Sue, you’re doing fabulous!!! :yahoo:

I find that Cliff bars are pretty satisfying, and I make a homemade hummus dip that I have with Wheat Thins for when I’m really in a munchy mood.

Find what your “tempting foods” are, and either set out one portion, or try to find lower calories substitutes (like plain or lite popcorn instead of full butter).

And don’t beat yourself up, that doesn’t sound like too bad of a splurge ;)

I have problems with evening snacking myself–I always crave sweets too. It doesn’t help that my husband eats constantly from the time he gets home until he goes to bed.

Anyway, I’m keeping sugar free jello (only 15 calories) on hand as well as those 100 calorie snack packs they have now. Cookies are a huge weakness for me and if I have those to look forward to I make sure to stay on plan and allow for that many calories at the end of the day. It helps.

Fiber. That’s the other thing I’m learning. Veggies and whole grains to keep you filled up throughout the day.

I’m still hungry but learning to tell the difference between the kind of hunger that says, hey your metabolism is running! And hey, you didn’t give me anything nutritious today so I’m still hungry!

If not carrots or celery, then very light/fat free popcorn works very well.

Way to go! Remember to celebrate the success and learn from your challenges.

Clementines are only 1 point for 2 oranges. Even if you aren’t doing WW, still that must mean they are low cal.
