Some days I’m good, some days the whole day goes by and I realize I haven’t been drinking nearly as much as I should.
Do you have a secret trick or something that works for you?

Water is the one thing I am good at.
I have water bottles. You know, bottled water? Only after I drink the bottled spring water I just refill them and reuse them. Each one is 24 oz. I put them in the freezer until they are slushy. I personally like my water very cold and think it tastes better that way.
Anyway, I drink one with my breakfast first thing so I know I have that much out of the way. Then throughout the day I rotate new bottles. If I drink 3 or more I know I’m good. I usually aim for 4-5 a day. When I do this and I’m on plan I’ve found that the weight comes off a lot easier and a lot quicker. My skin doesn’t look too bad either. Especially if I can eliminate pop completely (which I’m working on right now.)

I drink when I’m thirsty…that’s it. I get at least 2 liters in every day, which is all the average adult needs.
In the words of my neurosurgeon: trust your hypothalmus.

Hee hee, Thumper! Neurosurgeons are pretty cool, my son’s has a great sense of humor.
I’m not sure my hypothalamus realizes I have 4 kids I’m running after, and that I need to plan ahead a little and have some strategy!

I keep a 2 liter pop bottle (which is about 63 oz. — close enough) filled with filtered water and ready to go each morning. When it’s gone, I know I’ve had at least 64 oz. and I usually try to drink more when that’s gone. Drinking the water has made the biggest difference of anything I’ve done so far.
I’m not fond of water and used to have to force myself to drink it, but now I find myself refilling as soon as I have an empty.
8:09 am
I bought 2- 50 oz. bottles of Evian, and one 34 oz. bottle. I have one 50 oz. bottle sitting next to me all the time and I know if I’m on #1 or #2. They’re the only things I drink out of. When I finish one - I clean it, refill it and put it back in the fridge and grab the next one. If it’s not done by the time I go to bed - I chug it. (The 34 oz. is sort of a spare, when I need a smaller bottle - like on the treadmill.)
100 oz. a day is the rule to keep your body flushed and stop it from retaining water due to a lack of intake. If you don’t want to retain water, DRINK water.

I buy Dasani water and keep several bottles in the fridge so they’re ready to go. I also bought as case to take to work and leave there. I put 4-5 in the fridge there and just restock when supplies get low. I’ve had some problems with this because I don’t drink a lot of anything throughout the day. And when I do I tend to sip here and there. I think I’m going to start pouring it into a glass because I’ve found that I drink more at a time from a glass than a water bottle. It’s easier to take big gulps. If it works for me, I’ll let you know. :winking:

Well, my awesome idea is that whenever I read the word awesome on here or write it on here, I drink. I suppose I could carry it over to the RW, too. I also have found a really cool thing. I bought sugar free syrup at my grocery store and use it in my water. I use raspberry and then put a slice of lemon in it. It tastes like raspberry lemonade. (For more on this, see my post about it that has links to the syrup that I use.) I also have found that when I drink water, I crave water. I used to be water resistant, so this is huge for me.

I keep one of those big WW cups on my desk as a sit here all day and type. I usually have 2 of these per day. I am not sure of the amount but I think it is quite a bit and it works for me. Plus, having to pee forces me to take a stretch break from the water so I get up and walk around a bit every so often.
7:35 pm
I keep a large cup by the sink and drink every time I pass it by.
