Ivoryfrog’s Weightwatchers weigh in….

Hi everyone,

Wow thats another week gone by already and I still didn’t manage to check on here nearly as much as I would like so sorry to everyone! Not sure I would be of much use as support at the moment anyway as I have put on 1lb since last weigh in.   :(

I didn’t do too bad on my points, I don’t think…I have the electronic organiser thing that you type the cals and saturated fat in and it works out the points for you so I thin that would have been quite accurate.  My water intake was OK, not great…I didn’t hit the 100oz but it was up aroud 80oz.  The only thing I can think of is that I have been so utterly exhusted all week.  I have barely got 4 hours sleep a night between Savannah waking for night feeds (shes teething so its partly comfort) and Teagan deciding that 2am is the time all the cool toddlers get up…the fact that Cbeebies doesn’t start till 6am doesn’t seem to have played a factor in her decision.  LOL.  So, basically I have been in bed at 9pm, waking probably about 11 to feed Savannah and then getting up at 2am with Teagan so Leigh can get sleep to go to work. Does lack of sleep effect weight loss?

Well done to everyone…you all seem to be doing great! I will hopefully get back on later to have a proper read through, but with my kids at the moment who knows if I will manage to or not!

I need a better week this week!

It will be okay, IF! Where did you get the organizer thing that counts your points? Sounds like it is up my alley. Things will get better.

I have read that sleep deprivation can cause you to gain weight or to eat more, I guess because essentially you are up so the body thinks it needs more food. I remember those days, I haven’t slept the same since LOL. Just continue to eat sensibly if you can and it don’t give up, it will come down. Sounds like you could use a break. Hang in there and I hope you can get some uninterrupted sleep.

Lack of sleep colors everything differently. Don’t fret the pound and stay on track! It’ll come off this week. :good:

Lack of sleep definitely can cause problems with weight loss. It puts stress on the body and any kind of stress can make your body freak out and start storing fat. I once read an article about sleep and weightloss but I can’t remember the details. Suffice it to say I SHOULD NOT be on here at midnight.

feeling much better this morning because Teagan actually went back to sleep with no fuss last night - in our bed but at least she slept! Savannah didn’t wake for a feed either - we gave her some teething pain med before she went to bed and that seems to have helped her. so I slept from 9 till 6.30am with only 1 interruption! (when Teagan came through at 2am.)

Shelli - I got the organiser for counting/working out points from my meeting but I think they are also available on the weightwatchers online - shop…http://www.weightwatchers.co.uk/shop/elc/index.aspx
its right at the bottom of the page.

This is the UK weightwatchers though…I did look on the USA site but I couldn’t see it on there. Its good for working out points on the go (they also do just a calculator - thats on the page too) but sometimes I think it may be easier to just use paper - I worry that I haven’t remembered to enter something whereas with paper I can see what I have counted. I worry about forgetting eating - how terrible is that? :shame:

Man, maybe lack of sleep in my problem. I’m always up till 1 or 2. LOL I’m really glad you’re feeling better. I’m sure you’ll lose this week. :good:
