no matter the circumstance

Weigh in this morning followed this calculation:

Add dinner with friends, including wine/cheese & pasta.

Plus Superbowl Sunday.

Plus 10pm pizza.

Plus Take Out Chinese.

Plus “Christmas” in February.

Minus wise choices.

Equals = 0.8lb gain.

I suppose given all of the above happening in one week, I should be relieved that it was only 1 lb.

What I’m not relieved about is that I should have been able to control my choices rather than just rolling with it and ignoring that little voice – you know the one.

What I’m not relieved about is that I also neglected to exercise – AT ALL – which may have given me a fighting chance to counter those bad choices.

What I’m not relieved about is that it will take me 2 weeks to get rid of that 1 lb.

Volleyball starts next week – here’s to getting fit and making better choices – no matter the circumstance.

Oh how I hate looking back at all the bad choices and thinking about what might have been.

I think it’s something we all do and we really need to focus on taking it one day at a time one choice at a time and forgive ourselves while at the same time picking ourselves up and making that next choice a good one.

The week is over. Let’s focus on making the weekend one of good choices. We can do it together.

Hey Jane, it is what it is. And really, a less-than-a-pound gain is not terrible, given what you’ve faced. You can “what if” yourself silly (trust me…I do it all the time) — thing is to NOT see it as a setback and, as Sleeping Mommy suggests, let’s all have really *GREAT* choices this weekend! :bananadance:

It would help to feel the after-effect of binging pre-binge, wouldn’t it? Click your heels together three times…

You’ll do it, you may not be totally “there” yet but you’re on the verge, and I have a feeling that once you dive in there will be no stopping you. :friends:

I play vball, too, PJ! I love it! It is so much fun! Don’t be too discouraged. You didn’t do to badly considering the circmustances. Just one day at a time, no guilt and move on!

Superbowl Sunday was my last binge and the last day before I started this diet heathly lifestyle. Volleyball will be great for you. That sounds awesome!
