That’s my terrace. I live on the 12th floor and it has a high gate (since it’s the 12th floor)
That’s the view of the snow coming down from my living room, off the terrace.
Yes, it’s beautiful and fun to play in. But my question, how am I not supposed to just want to stay in and eat everything in sight. I love snow, in theory. It’s fun, it’s cold and it’s pretty. But on snow days, for those of you who have them, they are the perfect day to make cookies and watch movies and eat popcorn and have hot chocolate. Then go have a snowball fight and shovel (excercise) but still…it’s a tough choice.
I don’t have kids, so it makes it harder to get excited for the clean up. When I was little, I loved shoveling and stuff. Of course, it was more playing which got the snow out of the way but still. Now, it’s a chore. I’d rather sit and watch it and enjoy it in the warmth of my house then anything.
And this is why I don’t go food shopping. I have milk and stuff but can’t make cookies, if I could, I’d eat them. Can’t make hot chocolate, but that’s because I don’t like it.
Ok…so today is a tough day. I will go out later to clean my car off, but that about covers it. Wish me luck.

Well, if it’s snow you want ……. we’re getting the storm that battered the east coast of the US yesterday, and all of NS and Atlantic provinces are under a blizzard warning, with a foot of snow expected. So, anyone who wants to play, come on over! :rofl: I fought the urge to eat just about *anything* all day yesterday, and somehow stuck it out, and was rewarded this morning by having that 1 pound gone again.
Stay strong — reach for the water instead.

I shoveled snow and trudged through the nearly knee high stuff with the she-hellions – I’m entitled to a cookie AND hot chocolate, because THAT was a work out!!!

If it were me, I would be jonesing for a bit pot of chili with fritos and lots and lots of cheese.
Crap just typing that makes me want some.
