Just checking in to say hello, and yes, Leanne, I do want to be kept on here even though I’m not the most active member.
I have been sick this weekend. It’s hard to feel like crap.
Which makes me think of how easy it is to get off track from our progress when something comes along like a cold or a crisis.
What’s the best way to keep on track when something knocks you off? Just wondering
I have been slowly losing weight, much more slowly than many of you. But you all inspire me. I’m at about 7 pounds now. Maybe I should join Weight Watchers again.
Hope you all are well.

I hope you’re feeling better soon!
When something hits me, the best way to keep on track is trying to eat as healthy as I can. Usually when I’m sick, it’s soup anyway. I just keep reminding myself that the setback won’t last forever, and soon I’ll be back in the gym. All the charts and journals I keep of my progress remind me that I survived other setbacks

I’m right there with you, Raehan. I’ve lost about 8 in about that many weeks, so it’s been very slow. But, just when I think I’m giving up, I read some entries on here, or talk to a friend who has actually been successful, or I just take another hard look in the mirror and I try again. It’s probably the hardest thing I’ve done, to stick with trying to lose and not just accept where I am, but I know I’m doing the right thing. Hang in there–and jump back in when you’re feeling better!

Hey girl! No worries, there aren’t any asterisks next to your name.
I’m sorry you’ve been sick, hope you’re better soon!! I don’t hold myself accountable for anything when I’m depressed or sick. Those are free days for me, I just work twice as hard when I get on the other side of ‘em.
Hugs!!!

I hope you feel better soon, Raehan! There’s nothing like a bug to sabotage your plan, but when you’re not feeling well isn’t the time to worry about it. You’ll get back on track, I’m sure. As for the slowness of the weight coming off, my doctor and I had a chat about that this morning and he thinks that 4-6 lbs/MONTH is an excellent rate to lose. It gives your body time to adjust to the loss so that it doesn’t come bouncing back on if you’re off your routine for sickness, vacation, and such things. I think you’re doing fine! I’m impatient myself — I want it all gone NOW! But that’s unrealistic, I know. It took years to put it on, so if it takes months to take it off, then so be it. :good:

Way to go, Raehan. It is really hard when you don’t feel well. Listen to your body and when you start to feel better, slowly increase your activity as tolerated. Drink lots of water!

Just saying hi. I still think we should give each other gifts when we reach our goal weights. So what if its six months after we thought we’d do it
