I may post every few days on here this week, just because I’m starting that 6-day plan that Leanne posted awhile back and I’m thinking I might need the support! Plus, I know some are looking at doing this too, so I can tell y’all how it is going.
Day 1 Observations: I have never eaten this many egg beaters in my life. My normal 1/4 cup is upped to 3/4 cup along with a 1/2 grapefruit. I had to not eat the grapefruit immediately after because I felt sick after the egg beaters. I’m not a huge fan of them anyway, and I usually really spice them up with veggies or salsa, but I’m trying to follow the plan to a “T.”
I don’t like turkey and lettuce with no dressing. No sir, I do not. It’s very bland and gag-inducing. This one will be hard to handle every day for a snack. The lunch was good and the afternoon snack was tolerable (I like tuna). Evening was quite boring having the same thing as lunch, but also the easiest dinner I’ve made in awhile since it was already prepared and read to go.
Summary Day 1: No serious hunger pains until in the evening after dinner, when I thought it was probably early enough to have the optional nightly snack of 1/2 of a grapefruit. That hit the spot. I did have all my water but also slipped in 1 glass of crystal light iced tea because I was going nuts with all that water.
Day 2:
Weigh in: What? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 3 pounds? (I step off and weigh again.) How could this be? I lost 3 pounds in one day. I never lose that kind of weight in day. This is nuts! OK, all doubts of not doing this are out the window. I’m back in.
The turkey slices and lettuce were excruciating today. I did cheat a little with some crystal light again today. And, I had 1 tortilla chip (literally, I did stop at 1, I swear!) with my kids at lunch because I just was so darn hungry. It tasted SOOOO good. Yesterday I wasn’t hungry, so I’m not sure if this is a delayed deal or what. I hope tomorrow is easier. I may end up having 1 meal off of this plan on Sunday for lunch, since we always meet my in-laws after church. Since I have 1 extra half day before I weigh in after the 6-day plan, I can eat 1 more meal on this plan to make up for it then. (The things we tell ourselves, right? Grin)

I’m impressed with the 6 day plan, but I’m not quite ready to try it myself…I’m living vicariously through y’all!
