End of the month

and I suck.   I am having such trouble sticking to anything.   I am eating junk food.   I am drinking more soda then I should (though in my defense, it’s really the only thing that helps my headaches, go figure,  and it’s diet)  I just can’t seem to get my act together.    So another week gone and all I managed to do was buy a house.   Ok, that’s big but I keep making the deal,  when I move (first into my co-op, then into this apt, now into my house)  I will be good.  I won’t buy junk food (and I don’t except for the occasional bag of tortilla chips) I will eat at the table, I will excercise, I will clean more (which I do but not as “hard” as I could)

I was going to title this I quit and just give up.  But I won’t do that.   I like the way I feel when I lose weight.   I like the energy.   I have been getting headaches more often then I usually do.   Which considering I always have a headache, is bad.   Let me rephrase, I have been getting debilitating headaches more often then normal.  The ones that you crawl into fetal position and pray someone gets the icepick out of your head.   Unfortunately, the only thing that cures them is sleep, salt and caffeine.   And since sleep isn’t always an option, salt and caffeine it is.   And my doctor actually told me to do that.    I have low blood pressure which is why the salt works.

Ok.   enough feeling sorry for myself.   It’s a new month.  I don’t want to do a new beginning again.  I was supposed to do a new beginning last week, but life got in the way.   (a being knocked on your ass headache actually is what it was).

New month, new beginning.     I can do it.  Right?

You absolutely CAN do it, with the support and encouragement of all your P2G sisters. :grouphug: Thing is, you’ve recognized that things aren’t going quite the way you’d like them to, and rather than walk away, you’ve decided to buckle down and keep going. That’s all any of us can do; just keep going! YOU CAN DO IT. :good:

Oh wow - you bought a house??? That’s AWESOME! Congratulations!!! That’s a great time for a new start.

And yes, you certainly CAN do it. Keep telling yourself you CAN, and pretty soon you’ll switch to saying “I AM doing it,” then you’ll switch one more time to “I DID do it.”

Rachel, I’m really concerned for you. Have you seen a doctor about your headaches? Chronic headaches–and overusing OTC meds/caffeine–can cause rebound headaches (BTDT)

One thing I wanted to mention was that artificial sweeteners give me HORRID headaches (and withdrawal headaches too).

Please take care of yourself–and don’t give up. Your health is too important ((Hugs))

Feel better Rachel. I started getting migraines a while back and they made me totally useless. I can’t imagine having to deal with what you are.
