Well, I finished my first week of WW, and went to the meeting last night after work.
Even though I followed the plan all week, I started having some doubts at the end…I didn’t FEEL like I had lost any weight, it’s the week of the month that I generally GAIN weight, and I used most of my extra points in one “girl’s night,” where I had pizza and *gasp* TWO cookies. Noone who eats pizza and cookies can lose weight.
I told myself that I would be happy with any loss, and I’d be thrilled with anything between 2 and 3 pounds. As it turns out, I darned-near broke out in tears when the Scale Lady said “5.8lbs.”
I’m sure at least one person (not here at p2g) will tell me it’s water weight. And I’ll nod my head and agree. I understand what water weight is. I understand that as soon as you “stop”, the water weight comes back. But I’m NOT stopping. I’ve lost the equivalent to a bag of flour, and I have my eye on the 7 remaining bags in front of me.
Thank you thank you thank you for all of your support!
The numbers:
Week 1 loss: 5.8lbs
Pounds to go: 34.2lbs

Even if it is water weight that’s important too! Your body can’t shed fat if it’s retaining water!
Good for you and congratulations on a terrific first week. :veggiedance:
