The Stress Diet
Good evening, dear ladies — I’ve been amiss for the past couple of days. Hubby had a car accident on the way home from work Tues night and though no one was hurt (he rear ended a truck in front of him when it came to a sudden stop) the damage to our vehicle was extensive. So much so that it went to salvage. Sigh. Anyway, it’s been mayhem without a vehicle the past two days — hubby has missed two days of work (has to take them as vacation) and we’re still trying to straighten out the logistics of it all. A huge pain in the butt.
I didn’t weigh-in officially yesterday morning, but given that I’ve been unable to eat anything since this happened, I know I’ve lost substantially because my clothes are unusually loose. I wouldn’t recommend The Stress Diet to anyone, however; if I don’t have an ulcer before this is all dealt with, then I’ll know for sure I have an iron gut — which I’ve long suspected.
Same story, different day…
Today was my weigh in. After 3 days of the 6 day diet, and 3 other good Weight Watchers days, I expected a bigger loss. I lost exactly what I had gained in my week away 1.6 pounds. I can’t complain, but it sure does seem that my body is frightened of the 10 pound mark. I’ve been hovering at just over 8 pounds for 3 weeks now.
When, i finally get to 10 (which I hope will be THIS week), i will do a happy dance. Want to see? OK, here it is…:yahoo:
Current Pounds Lost: 8.4; Pounds to go: 21.6
It seems to be working
So my new start, from the other day, seems to be going well. I had ravioli for dinner last night but less then 1/2 a cup..couldn’t take it away from the princess, she loves her food.
I have been doing the NS like I am supposed to. Seriously though, the lunches taste like butt. I don’t like them. Add water and wait, it’s just nasty. But the dinners…good.
Still aren’t drinking enough water. Have you ever hit a water lull. I just can’t do it. I like water. But , I don’t know, something is stopping me.
I will keep tryin, that’s the best I can do.
February Wrap-Up
Heigh-Ho P2G! Your friendly Persistant turtle is here with my February wrap-up.

Prior to this week, I was SO glad that February is a short month. Filled with days off from the gym, setbacks and plateaus, I was ready to throw in my sweaty gym towel. But behold! The gym gods smiled upon me, and lo, it was good.
In February, I walked 37.5 miles, for a total of 72.5 miles in 2006. That is over half of what I walked for all of 2005! No wonder I need new shoes.
I lost 6 pounds in February (plus another pound yesterday) for a total of 39 lbs, 16 pounds in 2006. That’s half of my goal I set for 2006 (was trying to not pressure myself too much). That’s 20% of my weight loss goal!
I’ve lost a total of 7 BMI points and ::drumroll:: 52.5 inches. There’s over a yard of me missing! LOL
Genius.
Overheard on my treadmill at 6:45AM:
“If this were easy, it wouldn’t be so F#&%!^$ hard.”
Yes, I overheard myself saying it … to myself. There’s motivation for you.
How true it is, though! So plain, so simple, so pure.
