Same story, different day…

Today was my weigh in. After 3 days of the 6 day diet, and 3 other good Weight Watchers days, I expected a bigger loss. I lost exactly what I had gained in my week away 1.6 pounds. I can’t complain, but it sure does seem that my body is frightened of the 10 pound mark. I’ve been hovering at just over 8 pounds for 3 weeks now.

When, i finally get to 10 (which I hope will be THIS week), i will do a happy dance. Want to see? OK, here it is…:yahoo:

Current Pounds Lost: 8.4; Pounds to go: 21.6

I was stuck at 8-9 pounds for a week or two and just about went nuts!! Finally dropped that pound and a few more since. You can do it… just keep swimming! (a line inspired from Nemo! LOL)

Don’t give up. Remember that you should shake up your workout routine whenever you feel like you are stalled too. Your body grows accustomed to what you have been doing and I’ve read that you should change your workout either make it harder or longer or do something totally different every six weeks at least.

You are doing good. Just remember this is about your general health too, not just the weight loss.

Sleeping Mommy, you are so right. The thing that keeps me going and that I SHOULD have mentioned in this post? It’s experiences like this morning, when I went for my morning run and I made it almost the entire way without being out of breath, only breaking a sweat at the end. I truly ENJOYED running and felt no pain. I can see definite changes and my husband has commented he sees them too, so I know this is just a matter of muscle weight or something like that and I just have to stay the course and it’ll eventually come off. Thanks for the support!

1.6 pounds is still about six sticks of butter off your body this week. Very good.

From everything you’ve said, you’re toning your lean muscle - and that’s a great thing! When you have more lean muscle, it burns more fat. You’re doing great, so don’t give up! :)

Good job, Crazy MomCat. Really, I’m so impressed you kept it up even through the tough times. That’s awesome. In what Leanne said is true. Lean muscle weighs more than fat but burns more calories and takes up less space. That’s all good things. :-)
