I’m Back!

Okay, I think I can once again manage all aspects of my life. Blogging here, blogging there, commenting all over the blogosphere, working, being a wife, mom and grandma. Thanks for your encouragement and understanding during my absence.

I went to Weight Watchers this morning and had my weigh in. I didn’t go last week, so I don’t know what the week to week loss was, but since the last time I was there two weeks ago, I have lost another 2.2 pounds. I am now up to a total of 15.8 pounds. I am less than 5 away from my 10% goal! My pants have been getting looser all the time, but I am also noticing it in my shirts. You know, they were fitting just right and now all of a sudden they are really baggy. I don’t know if I will be able to afford a new wardrobe. But, I guess I will have to. What else am I going to do?! Wear baggy clothes? Besides, it is a good non-food reward for weight loss. Right?

Hope all you are doing well and I will be back to commenting on all of your posts. Have a good rest of the weekend!

That means  15.8 pounds lost=57.2 P2G

That’s awesome, Shel! You’ve made a lot of progress!!! I set a goal for myself, new clothes at the end of May. Not before. I bought one pair of jeans in the size bigger than I want to end up at, and I’ll use those as my measure to know how I’m doing.

This week? Not so good for me. Bah.

Hi Shelli!! I’ve been away this week, too, so I’m right here with ya. You are doing great so far. Seriously! You are so many things to so many people and you are also number one to you. Balance, hon. You got it. :-)

One good thing about it Shellie, good quality used clothes are easier to find in smaller sizes in thrift/resale shops than the bigger sizes!

My first “new” purchase was a belt! For the first time in years… I wore a belt! I waited until I lost a significant amount of weight before I went out and bought myself some clothes and boy did the comments come pouring in! It wasn’t till I bought clothes that FIT that I could really notice the difference in my body. I say reward yourself with a new outfit whenever you’re ready - it does loads for your confidence and is a fantastic motivator.

Mrs. Flinger made a good point to remember - BALANCE. :)

Yay Shelli!! And I understand about the baggy clothes–I’m trying to get a few items that will “last” awhile.

You’re doing such a great job :clapping:
