Hello. I love you. Good-bye.

I leave tomorrow for vacation.  A lovely, me-and-the-husband-only vacation sandwiched between visits with family and two big birthday parties.  My daughter is turning 2 years old, and my grandmother, 90. I will be eating at least a bite of cake in honor of each.  Sue me.

The vacation with the hubs will be relaxing but busy.  We’re going to Zion National Park and will be enjoying the free fun of hiking in the great outdoors.  I love to hike but insist on returning in the evening to a nice bed and a shower, so we’re staying in the lodge.

I don’t anticipate losing any weight over the next week, but my goal is not to gain.

I probably won’t be checking in here during that time, but will be back with a full report after we return home.  Good luck to all of you next week, and I hope there is less of you around when I get back.

Have a great time. Don’t beat yourself up if you have more then one bite of cake. It’s only food. By not doing, you will overindulge at a later date. Just have a small piece.

Have a wonderful trip! My daughter turns two early next month, so I guess ours are only a few weeks apart. Something ELSE we have in common. We must talk tantrums soon…has yours started that lovely gem? (grin)

Sometimes, just maintaining is a HUGE step of progress. :)

Have a great time! Maybe the hiking will balance out the cake eating. One can hope! :winking:
