The Journey

I firmly believe that part of what has allowed this to finally click for me is that for the first time I am looking at this weightloss thing as a Journey towards better health. Not a quick side trip or weekend adventure. A long journey. A quest even. Like the knights of old searching for a holy talisman.

This is my quest. Health. And I am willing to travel the road for as long as it takes. The truth is there is no quick fix and even when I reach my goal many months from now that is still not the destination.

The journey never ends.  There may be detours along the path but getting right back on the highway as soon as possible is the goal.

37.1 Pounds Gone. 132.9 Pounds 2 Go.

That is truly the only way to think about it for long-term success. I have done WW 5 times now–5! This time it is different because I’m letting go of the frustration about having to eat differently forever and embracing it. And, so far, it hasn’t been so bad!

Best of luck to you Sleeping Mommy! You are doing awesome!

It is a journey, indeed, and the road is twisted and full of pebbles. You’re doing fantastic! :clapping:

I think this is a really healthy approach. The weight doesn’t go on in a week, and it’s not gonna come off quickly. But is will come off, with lifestyle changes and the realization that you DESERVE to be fit and healthy!
