umm…hello - remember me?

LOL.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t to be honest.
I haven’t posted here since march 28th! Feel free to slap my hand.
I seem to have lost my diet wagon somewhere.
I wake up every day with good intentions, really I do. Then somewhere along the lines it all goes wrong and every day I end up going to bed annoyed with myself for eating the chocolate, the cake, crisps whatever…..

Last time I weighed myself I was back up to 14stone 8lbs. (204lbs)
I have put weight back on….not sure how much cause I didn’t check to see what my last posted weight was but I have definately put weight on.
It seems to be going more wrong since my dose of levothyroxine went up from 50mcg to 100mcg. I seem to be more tired, especially in the afternoons, can’t be bothered cooking so its something quick for tea - normally something you just throw in the oven like pie and chips, fish fingers and chips…..not healthy stuff.

It doesn’t help that my boyfrined is stick thin and can eat anything he pleases without gaining anything. He likes all the junk types of foods - pies etc and with money being so tight its been really hard to buy 2 sets of food if you see what I mean?

I am going to try getting back on my wagon from now….my youngest daughters FIRST birthday is in under 7 weeks and I am basically as heavy now as when I gave birth to her. :-(

I don’t want to be a fat mama in the pictures for her first birthday….

Take Care everyone.

Sure I remember you ;)

Is that med synthroid? I know it can make a difference which brand you’re on, or even if you’ve been switched to generic. I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble finding the right dose to help you feel better!

Hang in there–and remember, you’re dealing with alot. Keep trying, but be gentle with yourself! :friends:

Hey sweetie, what can I do to help? Would you like some tips for other quick foods that are better for you? I keep a lot of fat free vanilla yogurt on hand, also lowfat cottage cheese, and unsalted whole grain crackers. Those are quick protein boosts and you can snacky dip them with the crackers. They are also easier on the budget.

My hubby used to not have a problem with foods either. He could eat a side of beef and still be a rail, so I know what you mean - it’s frustrating. It’s catching up with him now though, and he’s finding himself trying to eat more like me. I still cheat when he’s around though, we do love food.

:p

Your synth may be off, too high perhaps? If you know your test results, you may be able to find what your dose should be somewhere online. Have you ever had mono? If you have, that virus sits in your liver and can sometimes get a little lively and make you very tired and sluggish, too. At one point, I felt like you - and it ended up that the EBV was “live” and my count was high.

Here’s some info for you, if you’re interested.

The other thing that I notice causes sluggishness for me is a total lack of protein. If I get a headache or feel dog tired, I can reflect over my last day or two, and sure enough - little or no protein. If I bump my protein up to 10g or more per meal, I feel better.

Hugs, I’m here if you need me!!
