I am truly embarassed :shame: to say my last post was… Valentine’s Day. Does this mean I stopped working on losing weight then? Oh no. In fact, I’ve made good progress and, for at least the last month or two have hovered within 5 pounds or less of my WW “Goal Weight”.
I am at 40lbs+ total weight loss since starting back in Dec. of 2005. My husband has created a lovely “before and after” photo for me by placing a picture of me in July 2005 at our son’s birthday party next to a photo from this year’s birthday party. You can definitely see the weight loss, it’s a good thing.
However, I haven’t hit “goal” and I haven’t exercised and eaten well since back in April. Life’s been too hectic – and it shows. While I haven’t gained a lot of weight back, I can definitely feel the difference in my energy level and my physical appearance.
So, like Leanne, I think I need to “recommit” – and a realistic time frame is just after Labor Day when the kids are back in school. (Well, 2 of 3.) My husband is changing jobs, we’re planning to move our youngest to a new daycare learning program, our middle child starts Kindergarten – it’ll be a Fall full of changes. Once we all hit our new routine – I need a new focus on Mommy. Back to the gym. This time I’m very interested in adding Yoga. I think I need the balance and “quiet” in my life.
So, here’s my Labor Day goal:
1. Figure out Yoga schedule, and MAKE time for the gym.
2. Back to WW points counting. I’ve been “fudging it” and it shows.
3. Early bedtimes for everyone! Back to school means getting enough rest, and that means mommy, too.:grin:
I’ll also do my best to go back and read up on how you’ve all been progressing during my (lengthy) absence.
