Crucial Time For Me
When I was young I used to lose weight in the summer and then gain it over December and January. These past few years I’ve noticed that my pattern has changed. I actually begin gaining in the late summer. It starts with ice-cream in the evenings and by October I’m eating Halloween candy. Then in January I lose again.
This year I’m starting now. I’ve gained over the summer, but will be losing over October, rather than gaining.
Do you hear me?
I joined WW again last week, and am going to do my best to stick by it today. Because I really can’t stomach hurting my body like this again. Cause it does hurt it to abuse it like I do.
It’s Comin’ Off!
Here we go again! Now that the cold weather has struck, my resolve kicks in.
Oh yes, and stress helps, too.
I lost 5 pounds last week, which is just what I needed to get over the hump of up and downisms that have been with me since spring. I changed out my wardrobe - from summer to fall/winter clothes, and felt good all weekend.
I tend to find something that I like to eat and when I do well with it, I stick with it for a while, until the sight of it makes me turn to chocolate anyway - and here’s what’s working for me:
Breakfast: oatmeal.
Lunch: Deli sliced turkey & cheese on potato (whole grain) bread with low-fat mayo
Dinner: Home cooked meal (no eating out), and not-so-dang-much-of-it.
