Dr. Chongs Wu-Long Tea

dr. chongs wu-long tea I’ve just spent some time reading about this product, Dr. Chongs Wu-Long Tea. It’s been given a nod by Oprah as well as Rachel Ray, so of course I’m curious to know more about it!

Dr. Chong’s Wu-Long Tea™ is not a fad diet, it’s not a crazy weight loss gimmick, it’s a century-old proven way to supercharge your body into a lean, mean, fat-burning machine.

This tea is known to stimulate metabolism, and weaken the effects of carbs – which essentially keeps your body burning fat. One cup of tea in the morning (even sweetened with honey or flavoring like cinnamon) should give you a natural increased energy without the strange side effects of many diet pills on the market.

Dr. Chong’s Wu-Long Tea™ has been proven time and time again to increase your energy and boost your metabolism. In the intestine, triglycerides (a type of fat your body stores) are split into glycerol and fatty acids which can then move into your blood vessels. These triglycerides are rebuilt in the blood and become lipoproteins, which deliver the fatty acids to and from fat cells.

The rich antioxidant polyphenols found in Dr. Chong’s Wu-Long Tea™ increase the metabolism of triglycerides. This means that you will burn these triglycerides as energy instead of storing them as fat.

Dr. Chong’s Wu-Long Tea™ also increases your body’s energy expenditure as well as your body’s fat oxidation to promote weight loss.

It even sports a 12 month guarantee. If it doesn’t have a positive effect on your weight loss program, you can return it for a full refund. A twelve day supply is $17, price breaks at higher quantities of course, but you get that money back if you don’t like it or if it doesn’t work for you.

The website offers several testimonials, as well as some other useful tips about dieting like 7 Diet Rules You Must Break, there’s also an article about tea consumption – specifically the benefits of Oolong tea extract and how Oolong tea promotes healthy weight loss.

I’m a latte girl, granted I’ve switched from 2% to non-fat milk – when my latte is running low I always warm it with black coffee. Time for me to switch to Wu-long tea! I’ll be ordering up the 12 day supply and give it a follow up in a few weeks. :)

This post is a paid review of Dr. Chongs Wu-Long Tea, however I will be personally trying the product and would not provide a review on a product I wouldn’t use.

Just popping in with a quick update.  Last Friday’s weigh-in rewarded me with another pound loss, and since then, I’ve lost another two pounds!

I’ve been reading YOU: On a Diet (which I think I’m sure someone else [Lazy Daisy] already mentioned) and I think it’s just the cat’s meow!  Finally, a life-long program that makes common sense AND is easy to stick with.  I highly recommend this book.

I’ve had The Cold From Hell for the past week and have still managed to stick pretty much to the YOU plan.  I’ll weigh in again on Friday…I’m trying NOT to get on the scales more than once a week.

So for now, this is my update:  P2G:  43 [-7]

I hope you’re all having great weeks.

This past week has been pretty questionable for me. I didn’t scale or take responsibility for what I put in my mouth – because it was my birthday week. Leftovers every day, two cakes, low cal ice creams. Of course they couldn’t go to waste, so I put them on my hips instead.

Ok. I have to put this into perspective – I could have gained back everything I lost so far. It’s not my birthday anymore, and the leftovers are all gone, so back on the wagon I climb!

My goal for the week is to incorporate an exercise routine into my schedule. Even if it’s just 7 minute abs, I need to feel that muscle burn again throughout the day. It’s a great stress relief, and I’ve been needing that (a lot of that) lately!

Here’s to a great week – eat well & be healthy!

SIX

Fridays are my official weigh-in day, and I lost another 2lbs, for a total of 6 lbs since New Years. It seems really slow–yes, I’m very impatient. But at least the scale is still going in the right direction.

I’ve been trying to stay between a recommended 12-1500 calories and while I’m losing, one of my goals for the coming week is to stay on the lower end of that range.

SparkPeople had a great motivational e-mail today, one that fits right in with what my doctor and I had talked about: taking responsibility for your weight. I addressed it on my diet blog this morning, but the gist of the message was this:

Take note of the ways you are escaping responsibility for your attitude. Do you continually blame situations, friends and family, or life in general for your poor mindset? The world has influence, without a doubt, but growing into a mature person means taking control of your emotions and attitude. Own them!

That’s been me in the past, for sure, but I’m working on it!

P2G: 44 [-6.0]

four

I stepped on the scales this morning, two weeks after committing myself to a new start toward 50 pounds gone, and I’ve lost FOUR pounds! That’s hardly much of a milestone, but if you only knew how discouraged I’ve been, staying pretty much 100% 99% true to my “program” and not losing an ounce. So, I’m happy. :D I weaned myself off the medication I’d been trying for hot flashes — an anti-depressant that, like most others, is infamous for the weight gain it causes. It worked wonders for the hot flashes, but I can put up with them, should they return. It’s not worth the change of metabolism they cause…not when you’ve got weight to lose.

So, it’s P2G: 46 [-4] as of this morning.

And this is my other inspiration for staying on track; an updated photo of grandson, Nolan, taken this Christmas, age 4 mos. I’d like to be in much better shape come summer, and look forward to long walks with my grandbaby. :)

I hope everyone has great weeks!

PS I’m starting a weight loss blog to track my progress, share some successes and failures, post some tried and true recipes, etc. The URL is http://4squaresout.blogspot.com if anyone wants to check it out. Not much there yet as I just started it.  :D

Week 2, and I’m down another 1.5 lbs, for a total of 6 pounds since my restart this year. What’s different is that I haven’t even started exercising yet. I imagine I’d be much further along if I were, but I’m being honest with myself. I’ll pick up the pace, and I’ll even take the dog out for more walks. What I most likely will never be consistent with is getting on the treadmill for any length of time and breaking a sweat. Do I really want to work my butt off getting there, then quit exercising and gain it all back? Not really. So in an honest effort of keeping it real, I’m eating better, counting calories and drinking more water. For now, that’s my primary commitment.

CalorieKing’s diet diary has an area to check-in, so I got the tape measurer out again today, as well. I’m down 1-inch in my chest, 1/2-inch in my waist, 1-inch in my hips, and 1/2-inch in my thighs.

My whole family is benefiting from eating meals based on the WW Core Foods list. I made a ground chicken meatloaf the other day using my own high-fiber whole wheat bread crumbs with eggbeaters, and it was awesome. My hubby is down 6 pounds, not that he has a whole lot to lose, but he’s much more aware of his food choices and it’s really benefiting him, too!

That’s the scoop on me for the week – I hope you’re all successfully working at it and keeping it real!
