Week 2, and I’m down another 1.5 lbs, for a total of 6 pounds since my restart this year. What’s different is that I haven’t even started exercising yet. I imagine I’d be much further along if I were, but I’m being honest with myself. I’ll pick up the pace, and I’ll even take the dog out for more walks. What I most likely will never be consistent with is getting on the treadmill for any length of time and breaking a sweat. Do I really want to work my butt off getting there, then quit exercising and gain it all back? Not really. So in an honest effort of keeping it real, I’m eating better, counting calories and drinking more water. For now, that’s my primary commitment.
