four

I stepped on the scales this morning, two weeks after committing myself to a new start toward 50 pounds gone, and I’ve lost FOUR pounds! That’s hardly much of a milestone, but if you only knew how discouraged I’ve been, staying pretty much 100% 99% true to my “program” and not losing an ounce. So, I’m happy. :D I weaned myself off the medication I’d been trying for hot flashes — an anti-depressant that, like most others, is infamous for the weight gain it causes. It worked wonders for the hot flashes, but I can put up with them, should they return. It’s not worth the change of metabolism they cause…not when you’ve got weight to lose.

So, it’s P2G: 46 [-4] as of this morning.

And this is my other inspiration for staying on track; an updated photo of grandson, Nolan, taken this Christmas, age 4 mos. I’d like to be in much better shape come summer, and look forward to long walks with my grandbaby. :)

I hope everyone has great weeks!

PS I’m starting a weight loss blog to track my progress, share some successes and failures, post some tried and true recipes, etc. The URL is http://4squaresout.blogspot.com if anyone wants to check it out. Not much there yet as I just started it.  :D

WOW he’s gotten so big already! He’s just adorable, and quite the motivator already - isn’t he?!

Congrats on the loss - it’s NOT a gain and that’s a big deal! If we can just tackle one pound at a time, one week at a time, it will be gone before long. Think about how fast last year went, that’s 52 weeks! One pound a week = 52 pounds!
