6 Day Mini Makeover

This menu is for women who are a BODY TYPE B. Find out what your body type is here: What is your body type?

Do NOT do it for more than 6 days.
Drink AT LEAST 100 ounce of water per day.
Coffee : Black
Exercise 30 minutes a day, at least 4 out of the 6 days.
DO NOT change anything, this is it – and if you vary you will not have the results you would otherwise.
Eat every 2 hours. DON’T SKIP a meal.
Measure your food portions. Better accuracy = better results.

BODY TYPE B MENU

Breakfast:
» 3 Egg whites (3/4 c. eggbeaters, scrambled)
» OR 3 oz. Turkey Breast (find the lowest sodium, highest protein lunch meat in the deli section – Hillshire Farms has a honey roasted turkey breast that is excellent, and one package is 6 ounces – enough for one day on the plan.)
» & 1/2 Grapefruit (or 1/2 cup mixed berries, or 8 oz. all natural grapefruit juice – red ruby is okay)

Mid-morning snack:
» 3 oz. Turkey Breast
» & 1 cup lettuce
(iceberg garden bagged mix is okay, dice up the turkey and mix in with the salad.)

Lunch:
» 2 oz. chicken breast
» 1/2 cup brown rice
» & 1 cup mixed veggies
(mix all three for a nice meal, steam a large bag of frozen (california blend is my personal preference) veggies & make 4 servings of rice to pre-prepare meals for a couple of days. Use roasted tyson chicken in the fresh seal pouch, dice it up finely)

Mid-afternoon snack:
» 3 oz. fresh tuna (low sodium canned is okay)
» & 1 cup lettuce.

Dinner:
» 2 oz. chicken breast
» 1/2 cup brown rice
» & 1 cup mixed veggies

PM Snack (OPTIONAL):
» 1/2 grapefruit
» OR 1/2 cup mixed berries
» OR 8 oz. natural grapefruit juice

[...] If you’re wondering, last summer I bought the 6 Week Body Makeover thing. In it was a little thing to jumpstart your metabolism and get used to eating smaller meals throughout the day. It’s a six-day thing, and this 6 day mini-makeover is what I’ve been doing since Sunday. I’ll be done tomorrow, so I’ll see what the scale has to say Saturday morning about my goal! [...]

Interesting.

Somehow I came out a:
Mesomorph

A Mesomorph has a naturally fit body but to maintain it or improve it they should exercise and diet corretly for their type. Strength training can be done more often and for longer sessions then would be good for an Ectomorph, but you must still be carefull not to overdo it. You should train with moderate to heavy weighs and at a moderate pace, not resting too long between sets. You will find you gain muscle quite easy (some women and even men might not want to get too bulky, but this won’t happen suddenly. When you are happy with your muscle size simply train to maintain it). Stick to a good healthy diet to keep you lean and muscular, and watch for any slow creeping fat gains. Engage in and enjoy aerobic activities, sports, etc. but do not overdo.

[...] * I’ve been on a diet this week and I’m pleased to report that it’s going well. I’m doing the Six Day Mini-Makeover with my pal Leanne. Together we are too competitive to cheat or quit and it sure is nice to have someone to whine to when you’re tummy is grumbling. I’ll let you know if I’ve lost any weight on Saturday…and then on Sunday I’ll let you know if I’ve gained it back. [...]

[...] Since my last check-in, I’ve lost 2.5 lbs. Over the course of the last week, I’ve gone up and down several times until my (•) finally went away, and then MommaK and I kicked off our 6-Day Mini Makeover program. She and I are both body type B, so the plan I use is suited for her as well. So, day 4 of the mini makeover and I’m down 6 pounds, because I gained 3.5 over the course of my (•), and I was also doing really poorly on water intake for a few days. For some reason, water tastes like crap to me, acidic or something, during my (•). Strange, but true. [...]

Hey all, left a similar comment elsewhere, but thought this might be the more appropriate spot for it; any way this plan could be adapted for a vegetarian? i don’t eat fish, but do eat dairy and eggs. ugh, does this mean I’m going to have to eat 15 egg whites over the course of a single day??? (tell me no!) could i get away with laughing cow cheese triangles? maybe the low fat kind? i’m a type A…. any advice? i’m so tired of being a fat vegetarian – it’s too painfully ironic. thanks all!

Ok, I am am body type B. I am about to go grocery shopping and I was hoping someone could clarify. Twice a day it says to have a cup of lettuce and I am assume that means with dressing to be a salad. What kind of dressing are we supposed to have? also, what about condiments like bbq sauce, can’t believe it’s not butter, etc?

I have been doing the 6day body makeover for over a year and have learned to modify the diet to continue to lose weight and keep the weight off. I have found you definitely can use low carb high fiber wraps that are under 110 calories to work better than the brown rice, and that there are a lot of low sugar condiments that work great to spice up your food but still see weight loss. I also found you can do the dannon light and fit yogurts for your sixth meal and still see results. As for the laughing cow cheese triangles, you can definitely eat it with your lunch or dinner if you omit your condiments. You can use sugar free coffee creamers, and even half n half in your coffee in the morning and still lose weight if you are drinking enough water. I also reccommended drinking more than 12 cups of water a day, it really seems to help flush the water weight.

Thanks Leanne for posting this! I bought the program over a year ago and never did it – then put it into storage. After one day I lost 5 pounds – I’m sure mostly water weight – but the main thing is I’M MOTIVATED!

Hey everyone are you watching I Can Make You Thin by Paul McKenna on t.v. or youtube? Awesome. I used the technique on a craving and it worked wonderfully. It’s so nice to have hope.

I’ve got tonnes of weight to lose; around 46lbs in fact :-(

But it can be done and will be done, which is probably why I’m sitting here trawling the net at 4:30am on a Saturday looking at how I’m going to do it.

The 6-day sounds like a good kick-start; any chance of giving me some idea of some of the losses achieved on the 6-day to date?

Anyone on here gone on to the 6-week? With what type of result?

Love to know so I dont set unrealistic expectations.

Back to bed, nite!

Hi everyone.

I hopped online looking to read about results in order to find some motivation! I’m on day 2, down 3 lbs as of this morning and MISERABLE. I can’t stand the bland recipes, the irritablity of sugar/salt withdrawls including the headaches and the thought that all this hard work is just simply water weight….
Please post your long term results so I can feel some inspiration to stick with it!

Thanks for the great site!

I did the 6-day plan for 5 weeks back in 2003 and lost 28 lbs. At the end of 5 weeks, I went off the plan and kept the weight off, sometimes fluxuating 3 – 5 lbs each way. In early 2007, I lost another 25 lbs with Weight Watchers, and when I went off the plan, I maintained for 3 months and then suddenly, it all came back! So, I’m starting the 6-day plan again today. I’m hoping to lose a final 45 lbs to get to my ideal weight of 140.

I’ve been on the 6 day plan for 3 days and I’ve lost four pounds. I think the key to success is not cheating a bit – it’s hard to do but honestly, your body doesn’t need bbq sauce or instant creamer to survive. Your tastebuds, however do! So it’s not the most palatable of programs. However, I’ve found that now as I’m starting day four – I’m craving sweets less and I’m getting much more used to eating all those veggies. That’s a habit I hope to keep with me after the 6 days are over.

Hi everyone! Tomorrow – I am going to try the 6-day mini makeover. I tried it a few weeks ago for 4 days and lost 7 pounds. Why I gave up I don’t know. It really works and you feel full as long as you drink the water and eat what the menu says.

Has anyone done it more than 6 days. I am planning to keep on going for a while. Went to Weight Watchers, lost 44 and most of it crept up on me and am not a very happy person right now. I want to keep this going and probably will modify it here and there with the good food.

Just stay with it, see I’m talking to myself again. Lets see how much we can lose in a full 6 days!

Good luck everyone.

PS Great site I stumpled upon.

Hello everyone! I had recently purchased the 6week body makeover kit in 2005, I tried it lost weight but gave up & did not stick to the plan. Well I pulled it out of the closet and could not find the menu plan to the 6day mini makeover. It costs 29.99 + sh to get this info again. I had my cd put not the meal info. Well, I am so thankful for this site because it saved me money and time. I’m back on track & have printed out the TYPE A menu plan and the how to’s. This will save me in the long run and I will not lose it again. Again THANKS and good luck everyone. 62lbs. to go to be where I want to be.

Well I did the 6 day diet in February, I lost 14lbs in one week, over the course of 3 months I have gained 10lbs back. Honestly it was hard to gain the weight back, I stopped exercising and started eating a whole lot more than I did before (because of stress). So right now I am doing a 7 day all water detox fast then I have to do a juice fast for 7 days in order for my body not to go into shock. I plan on doing the 6 day plan for 12 days. Then I want to move on to the 6 week plan. I am vegan so for me the plan is extremely bland (just imagine eating only tofu for protein without salt). I’ll let you all know how it goes.

I’ve been doing the 6 day mini makeover for 3 days (just starting day four) and I’m down 5lbs this morning. I find it really hard not to cheat but the scale is making me really excited so I’m sticking with it. I have a wedding that I’m in in two weeks so I’m trying to reach my goal before then. Tuna is supposed to be my mid-afternoon snack on the 6 day mini makeover but I’ve been eating turkey or chicken. I don’t think it REALLY matters. I’ve also had a few multigrain crackers with a little peanut butter in the evening which i feel extremely guilty about but it didn’t seem to affect anything. I’m down 1.8lbs from yesterday.

Hi:
I want to lose 30 to 35 pounds. I am a body type E, but the thing is I eat fish, soy products, but no meat as the Menu E require to accomplish with the program. As the body type E eating plan says “Red meat, which contains compounds that help your body build and maintain lean muscle, is one of the best proteins for your specific body type.” I know that the soy products have a lot of protein, and also I don’t want to eat meat, my concern is Can I get the results that I wanted substituting the meat that the program use?

Hello everyone ! I just started my program this week, but haven’t done the weigh n measuring thing yet. I feel like I’ve lost a couple pounds since Saturday tho. I’m a body type C and HATING breakfast time. I’ve been doing 3 egg white (beaters) and rice. Today tried hash browns, but having trouble cooking them without oil. I tried the hot pan method, that just makes for more scrubbing. I use cayenne pepper on everything but miss salt. Any suggestions ? Great site, by the way. Best of luck to all of us !

Thanks for having this inspirational page. I bought this program four years ago, but never opened it until last week, due to numerous military deployments, and noticed the 6 day mini makeover card was missing. I ordered it today for $10.95. I wished I found this site two hours sooner.

I will definitely start tomorrow. I need to make a change. I am 197 lbs, 5ft-4in, 40y/o with retirement in a couple of years, plus the military frown on being overweight. I my ideal weight is 150 lbs. With this system and my detemination, it will happen.

For those of you who are trying to make a difference in your lives, I commend and admire you. I need all the encouragement I can get. Lets do this together. I will keep you posted on my progress.

Hello Friends,
I also bought this diet quite awhile ago, in Spring 2002. I followed the 6-Week diet for a month or two then, and it worked well for me. Then we moved away from the countryside where it was easier to walk, and I had a family member as house guest and couldn’t afford to feed her meat several times a day, so I fell off the diet. That Fall I went back to school full time while working, and got the “Freshman 15″ pound-gain. This stressful schedule continued for 6 years, and I gained a few more “Freshman 15″s.
Now I’m teaching and hardly fit any of my clothes.
5′ 3.5″ 205 lbs. Eeks.
I hate dieting and I love to eat.
Nevertheless last night I dragged the diet off the shelf , and am starting the 6-Day Mini today, with a few variations: (2 whole eggs instead or 3 egg-whites, grapes instead of berries coz need to go to supermarket, and some whole-grain starch in morn, brown rice or oatmeal, to keep energy up.)
I’m excited about finding this website, I think it will help me keep my motivation! I also found a great webcam blog: http://www.youtube.com/user/vlo1125
(Veronica lost 70+ pounds on the 6-week diet, until she got pregnant.)
I’ll also count my calories on Sparkpeople, a great site..

Thank you all, I’ll be checking in!

Hello friends,
I lb. down since yesterday, (1st day on Mini Makeover) although we ate in a Mediterranean style restaurant yesterday, and I had chicken kebab and roasted vegetables. I also wasn’t able to do the 6 meals, I really only had 3 meals, more or less combining lunch and afternoon snack, as I didn’t have breakfast until quite late, and then was really hungry after my lunch, so I added the snack onto it! :)
So not a big loss, but a loss nevertheless!

Is this the menu every single DAY? Can you cook the rice, chicken, veggies in fat free/sodium free stock (I make my own so I know what is in there)? Can you use herbs and spices. I sure hope so otherwise this is a very, very, boring diet plan. I’m surprised anyone can stay on it for six weeks. I am pretty sure from the quiz that I am a “D” and my shape is pear. 80% of my weight is in my can and my thighs. Now that I have gotten into my 60′s I also have developed belly fat (ugh) and an umbilical hernia. I’ve got to get rid of this weight. I am 5’7″ and 260#. When I married at 18, I was at 115. It is the same old story we have all heard a thousand times. A year later I said hello to sweet baby girl and goodbye forever to 115. I havenot ordered the plan yet. I want to be sure that it is something I can actually do before I sink 140.00 bucks into it. So I’ll be gathering info and checking to see how you’ll are doing

Hi Rosalund,
The 6-Day diet is the same thing every day, but the 6-Week diet should have varied menus, but you’ll be avoiding dairy, wheat, refined carbs, and fat. When I did it I used stock to give flavor, and herbs and seasoning. I think you can even salt moderately, but avoiding sodium helps the weight loss to show as we don’t have the water retention.
Your menus are things like eggs and oatmeal (real traditional, not instant, which I cooked in rice or almond milk with dried blueberries) for breakfast, meat, veggies and a whole carb for lunch and dinner, and protein with veggies or fruit for snacks. I also often had brown rice with my snacks to keep my energy up. You eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
The diet works; it’s not exciting, but it’s better than the 6-day one, where I thought I’d cry if I saw any more chicken! The loss is regular and faster than with just a low-cal diet. At least it was with me. I also didn’t get very hungry, and kept my energy up. :)
On the 6-day diet which I followed closely but not always exactly, I lost 4 lbs, from 205 to 201, I’m 49 and measure 5’3 1 1/2.”
Good luck!

That does make me feel better. I know that I am not the type to follow any diet to the absolute letter I need a smidge of wiggle room. If I can loose 2 or 3# a week that will be better than this 260# stand off. I have not lost a pound in nearly a year. Did you purchase the material for this plan or are you winging it.

Hi! Anyone out there a body type E? Please share your results! It makes TOTAL sense when I think about my eating habits vs. weight fluctuations, even when working out as hard as I do. I try often NOT to eat so I will stay thin and it works for the most part, until I work out and then find myself STARVING!! And we all know what happens when we feel starving….everything goes out of the window! :(
How different from the Mini 6 day menu from the

Anyways, started the 6 day one today, so we shall see. Need to lose about 8 lbs. The hardest 8 lbs ever!!! ugh!!! Any advice from an “E” would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance! God bless everyone! :)

The 6-Week menu is much more varied, you can vary your whole carbs, low-fat proteins, vegies and fruit. When I was doing the 6-Day Mini Make-Over by the end I thought I would cry if I had to eat anymore chicken!

Hey everyone! Just found this site today, trying to help a friend with the 6 Day Mini Makeover. Just to let you all know, the6 Day Mini WILL work and if you have more to lose than 6 days will take, I HIGHLY reccommend the 6 Week Body Makeover kit. I purchased it in January and started the program on 1/21/08. As of today, 10/24/08 I have lost 76 pounds and I have found it to be pretty easy. The first week is the hardest, but once the weight starts to come off, the motivation increases 10 fold. I went from a size 16/18 at stores like Lane Bryant and Avenue to a 4/6 at places like Abercrombie, Gap, Hollister, etc. The biggest change of all, regardless of size, is that I am HAPPY. I like myself again.
My biggest piece of advice if you do it — if you “fall off the wagon” don’t think you have failed. Jump right back on, drink extra water for a day and workout just a liitle bit longer and you will not see any change! Good luck to you all!

Hi Mary,
Your message is encouraging! I know the diet works, I just have to re motivate myself to stop giving into stress and give up the goodies, and organize my food and get back on program!
Thanks,
Kalisa

I tried this last year and lost 4 lbs in one week. I am 5’1 and went from 118 down to 114. I did cheat a tiny, tiny, bit. Cheats were sugar free creamer in my coffee, a tiny bit of spaghetti sauce on my rice, turkey & veggie combo, etc… Nothing too outrageous, lol. I really didn’t feel hungry and was motivated to stick to the diet since it was only 6 days. I did the diet from Sunday through Friday and Saturday I was off the diet. I have tried since and have had trouble sticking to it due to a bad habit I have of waking up and eating in the middle of the night! I have finally stopped the night eating and am ready to try again! If you can force yourself to stick to it, it does work!

Hello-

In regards to the 6 Day Body Makeover, I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to drop a few pounds quickly. The rules are simple: Eat small meals spaced throughout the day (guidelines in book), NO salt, LOTS of water, FRESH foods, and 40 min-1 hr of exercise 4 out of 6 days of the week. I lost six pounds in six days.

Now, even though the rules are simple, this diet is NOT for everyone! First, you can’t have dairy. I love cheese, so I would shred some fresh parmesean onto my salad (just a LITTLE bit) to ease the craving. Also, I highly recommend pre-cooking your meals at least 2 days in advance. I find that I get lazy if I realize it’s time to eat again and I don’t have anything ready.

Afterwards, you can start incorporating more carbohydrates and seafood into the diet with minimal salt.

Bottomline: After the “intense” initial six days, continue eating small, spaced out meals throughout the day, eat minimal salt, fresh foods, and keep up with the low-impact aerobics.

Good luck to all. :)

I just did the 6 days and today is my “day off” 7th day. I lost 8 lbs in the 6 days. I am not gonna lie it was super hard but I was proud of myself. I had recently lost a total of 67 lbs and wanted to do something to re-jump start my metabolism so I turned to 6dbmo and its seems to have done the trick. I have a big event coming in 5 weeks so I plan on continuing this until then. I feel a little lost on what to eat the next coming weeks. Wish me luck as I am now down a total of 75 lbs :)

I’m familiar with this plan and how it works, and it DOES work. my issue with it are the painful headaches that come with it. any recommendations on that part of it? i eat healthy and drinks tons of water all day long and workout regularly and am always starving, like within 30 mins of eating, but the headaches get so bad that i want to just grab a big piece of bread and devour , help?

Robyn, I think it has to do with a complete absence of sugar. I get headaches when I do it, as well. The rice and veggies are both carbs so I think we tend to mis-read what our bodies are lacking/craving. (Though I’m no expert!)

I have done this plan before, but nearly every meal required either potato or oatmeal, an apple or banana, chicken breast. does this sound familar to anyone? I would like to do it again but I cannot remember the plan. I am body type B. thanks to anyone who can help. :)

Hello everyone:

Ref: Menu for type E

I lost 6 lbs following menu for body type B, gained back 2. Then I did the questionnaire and found out I am body type E not b. I cannot find the menu for body type E.

Can anyone tell me the menu for body type E or the food involved. I highly appreciate you.
Gela
